stickhrk- THANK YOU! I've been trying to get Palm Pictures to make it! I'm getting a large group to help me send mass emails to them. Let me know if you're interested.
Well, unless somebody can point me in the direction of where I can buy Pyramid Song, Go With the Flow, or E-Pro on DVD, I'm holding out for a Shynola collection.
IMO, all directors who have directed at least one extremely cool video. But not Vaughan Arnell. One of the videos he did for Robbie Williams is the worst video of all time (guess which one).
This DVD series isn't as good as the one before it. Granted, it has some cool stuff on it (the videos mentioned above). But it's missing some cool videos too. I can't believe they left the Smashing Pumpkins "Today" video off the Stephane Sednaoui DVD!
Well, should the next series come out, whoever directed the Rock DJ clip should be left out. However, I will gladly accept "The Work of Samuel Bayer" or "The Work of Jonas Akerlund".
The reason they probably left out the Smashing Pumpkins video was because it didn't fit in with the style of his other videos. There were alot of videos they left out of Stephane's volume. I would have probably replaced the Alanis Morisette "Ironic" video with the video for Milk by Garbage
I dunno. The Jamiroquai and UNKLE videos are different in style, but they were both included on the Jonathan Glazer DVD. Something tells me that "Until It Sleeps" and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" will both be included on the Samuel Bayer DVD (if there is one).
I think out of all these directors, Mark Romanek and Jonathan Glazer are probably my favourites. I like the videos for "Devil's Haircut", "Cochise", "Can't Stop", "Street Spirit", "Karma Police" and "Virtual Insanity".
