I don't know why you guys are bashing Twin Snakes so badly. I like it. The voice acting is better on SOME characters... worse for others. And I agree that kicking the missle back at the helicopter made Snake seem like a super hero. But it was a good game, great remake.

I dunno.. At the time I played them Oot was a more paramount experience to me. Yet I've never felt the need to return to it like MGS. Still I couldn't say if MGS was better than Oot. Pretty amazing how close to eachother they were released.

Kind of a shame how MSG 2 botched it though, it became too anime unlike the awesome Hollywood that was MGS.

OoT is defiantly an incredible game. Its kind of funny how close the 2 games came close to each other....what a year.

Ive beaton OoT (who hasnt) and still rememeber thinking it was incredible, being a fan of link from the past; but i never played ANYTHING like mgs. The whole mature movie vibe, incredible characters, best boss battles, amazing story (the original still had the best story), amazing playable character (who doesnt love snake?) made it just 2 amazing for me as a kid.

Although the game was short (around 3 hours skipping cutscenes), it was unlike anything ive ever played, and there were 2 many parts that were so memorable. Ive played thru OoT i think twice...both times amazing. Ive played thru the original mgs close to 40 times (no joke lol) since i first beat it.

In fact, i beat it with a friend oevr the other night just for the heck of it and it was just as fun as it was back in the day as it was today. I cant say that about most games. It truly is epic.

So yeah, ive beaton the other games (mgs is my fav series by far) and i LOVE OoT (dont get me started on that game either) nothing quite compares to the original mgs. The story, characters, everything makes me say its the best game of all time.

And yes i agree with you about the sequal. It took the story to directions that just were over complicated compared to the first. Plus the characters just werent nearly as cool, and liquid will forever be the best villian in any game =)

The original is way better. I've never played the remake but the cutscenes are a HUGE part of the atmosphere of this game which in turn is the most important thing in this game. I've watched some of the cutscenes of the remake and they suck ass. It's pretty amazing how in the original the characters don't even have eyes or mouths yet it completely sucks you in. They should do a new remake on the PS3/360 where they can change everything EXCEPT the original audio.

Trust me man the remake is garbage, i played it after the great reviews it got and was disgusted as someone who played the PS1 classic many times.

They turned it into a fuckin john woo movie...they turned snake into such an unbelieveable character with the most redic. cutscenes youve ever seen. They also redid all the sound but not the codec screen....it was so stupid. Mei ling sounded like a cheer leader, naomi was bored...it just wasnt like the 1st games grade A voice acting an feel.

Naomi lost her accent... And as for Mei Ling... I'm guessing they didn't use the same voice actors all three times she was in a vid game....(MGS1, MGS:TTS, and MGS4) and I do agree, Snake jumping 2000000 feet in the air just to jump on one missile is just a tiny bit far fetched... Notice the sarcasm :P

The voice acting was straight garbage and the cutscenes were just so stupid...i urge you to watch the scene where snake fights liquid in a helicopter, and watch the end where liquid shoots a missle at snake, and snake does a flip in the air and "kicks the missle" back at liquids copter...I almost through a tv watching that ^_^

Also the mgs2 controls made the game WAY 2 easy and didnt feel right...the game was a failure and i urge people to find the ps1 classic first.
