idk if he went out there to fight. it looks likes a line change and as the players are passing each other the ppl already on the ice are saying something to each other and they start to fight then kennedy just ends up jumping in. i dont think he went out there to fight. it looks like hes saying something to the guy but its hard to tell.
He got a 1 game suspension for it. In the video you can't see Kennedy come off the bench after the whistle and then goes after Schenn. That is an offense punishable by suspension. I might add that suspension was handed out long before you posted your comment. Maybe you should look into it before making a comment like that.
When I wrote my message I already knew that he got a suspension. Maybe you should think twice before posting a comment like that. Because I wasn't answering the question "suspension on the way?". I expressed my own opinion to the NHL decision about this situation.
And I don't care if he started the fight coming off the bench. He didn't came from the back or something. It was a normal fight. No dirty play from Kennedy. If there's a rule that suspends players who come off the bench to fight someone IT"S A VERY STUPID RULE.
You don't give things any thought at all, do you? If there was no rule against players leaving the bench there would be bench clearing brawls just about every game! And no one would be safe from the enforcers... they could just jump on any time they like.
He didn't jump off the bench. He went on the ice and then went to Schenn. And Schenn saw him and knew that he want to fight, so everything is alright.
So what you're saying is that it is impossible to prove that a player leaves the bench with the intent to fight, and therefore there shouldn't be a rule about it. You don't know what intent Kennedy had. He came off the bench and the first thing he did was go to Schenn and try to start a fight. To me that looks like he had the intent to fight. The league agreed... so give up on your useless viewpoint and accept the fact that it's wrong to leave the bench after the whistle and start a fight.
Who gave you the right to judge people? To judge my viewpoint? Anyway, nothing wrong with that. Schenn could disagree to fight Kennedy. And if it would be like that and Kennedy attacked him that would be a bad and dirty play. And then I would say that he acted bad.
It's a very dumbass call....for you pussys that complain about fighting in hockey and ruin it for the rest of us......go fuck your selfs.....He came out for a line change and met the dude halfway....no harm done
Kennedy wasn't on the ice for the play, so therefore the Penguins had to have at least 6 players on the ice, if not more. Everybody was paired up, so I'd call it an even situation... EXCEPT for Kennedy. Schenn was locked up with Talbot when Kennedy came on.
ok now how could u even say that there would be a suspension. and if ther was it would maybe be two games. look u guys tyler is going to sit down tomorrow in my dads office and have a hearing at 9:45
does not matter.... until play resumes he is counted as still on the bench and is against the rules as the announcers on CBC stated. He will most likely get 1 game

Malkin got owned and Kennedy got his ass beaten. Simple as that. Should have just chilled on the bench, Tyler.

All I saw was a player coming on and Malkin going off.

dumbfucks...he got a suspension. Its right in the NHL rule book. No getting on the ice to start a fight during stoppage. Period.

and lets not forget how many leafs were on the ice .. maybe 6 or 7 still a guy or two more then pens had on ice...
Sportsxstar25 3 years ago
but it was the pens who started the whole scrum, not the leafs.

Why not? He left the bench to start a fight before the next play had started. That's 9 games.

I've seen worse go unsuspended.
I haven't seen the fight itself, but from this video, my guess is there will be no suspension.
