does the "barometer" reading get effected if the watch is on your wrist? obviously the temp will be effected... but what about the air pressure (barometer)?
those are some really nice watches, though I love the Casio Pathfinders for their solar powered property. Suunto has some awesome limited editions also that I wish Casio did, great review thanks
Sir, are you able to see/read the watch face easily under sunlight, probably at noon when the sun is overhead, do you strain your eyes to see? Thanks.
@lucasfinley i had this watch for military use for one year, the compass is crap , the weather brodcast too :O the altitude thing is cool for moving in the mountains but you ´have to calibrate the thing every day! forget depth gauge for snorkeling :O the watch has too manyfunctions and none of them is working really accurate!
got mine but the backlight button isn't functioning. when i press the lower right button everything goes to default setting. would you know what the problem could be???
Good stuff bro! Just got the exact same watch today.
Loving it so far. Only negative i got so far is that buckle scratches kinda easy.
Only wore it for about 3-4 hours so far and I'm already noticing a few little baby scratches. The scratch marks are still black but you can see them. At least the scratch marks didn't change into an entirely different color.
@richardmilk Not sure yet. I have had mine for about 5 months and so far so good. I wear it about 3 days a week and dont leave it on compass or alto-baro mode. I think I have heard about a year of battery.
Pretty good review my friend! They should put your videos on the Suunto Core product webpage
Your review made me bought this watch on Amazon... Got a nice price (250$ shipped)! You made me discover and program my watch way more easily! :) Thank you...
@ht6501 Thanks! The thermometer function is not capable of being calibrated by the user. In my experience with the watch the temperature function has been extremely accurate when compared to other temperature sources.
Great video review. Do you find it difficult to read the display? I've been contemplating between the "All Black" model and the Military Core with the light background and black display. I like the looks of the black better but can't tell from video and pictures how well the display shows up.
@operator714 At times depending on how extreme of an angle the watch is at it can be difficult to read. But honestly, how hard is it to rotate your wrist a little bit so you can see it better. I personally love the negative display.
is the compass last long? cuz i have a path finder and the compas stops updating and turning the compass after like 5 mins
XRunningTurtleX 3 weeks ago
@XRunningTurtleX I had to replace my battery about a year after first getting the watch and I didn't really use the compass too much.
lucasfinley 3 weeks ago
@XRunningTurtleX And no it will time out after a couple of minutes to save battery.
