Great song, awesome band. I love a lot of old-school country, but not much of the new "country." I never liked rap growing up, but all I'd heard was west coast "shoot that n*****, sell coke" type crap. There is good rap out there, so don't dis it entirely. Listen to Nas, TI, Mos Def and some other east coasters. Sure, they've got some filler songs, but so does everyone. Most of their stuff is really good though.

THIS is what's wrong w/ our system; people like this are being given passing grades then going on to teach children to be morons as well.
This guy has one of the best, most distinctive voices for country music. I loathe new country music; this older stuff is the only country I'll listen to anymore. Nowadays all the voices sound exactly the same, the turnarounds & chord progressions are the same, etc. This was good stuff.
While I'm not taking a side either way (I was raised in Texas) Southerner States tend to have a higher poverty rate, lower IQ's, and a lesser percentage of people who graduate.

Secondly; we are more than Desert; we have pretty much every climate youre looking for between beaches to snow; i'm not sure where you've been but surely it was during spring break where you were surrounded by Tourist.. like yourself. Great song, awesome band. I love a lot of old-school country, but not much of the new "country." I never liked rap growing up, but all I'd heard was west coast "shoot that n*****, sell coke" type crap. There is good rap out there, so don't dis it entirely. Listen to Nas, TI, Mos Def and some other east coasters. Sure, they've got some filler songs, but so does everyone. Most of their stuff is really good though.

i like this song, and country, and pretty much anything thats not screamo rap or hip hop (the modern music portrayed today sucks in general. there are a ton of great artists who arent like that, but we dont hear much of it) o and so i can get some more mail, i think taylor swift belongs in pop and not country, shes tainting the culture that makes country unique. Alabama is one of the best Country Bands out there, also as Snaz said they reference another song, not the state... If you actually listened to the lyrics rather then criticize one word you hear or the name of one song, then you are missing the point of music in general... and i am a country fan and I don't listen to just Country, but I rather listen to it then rap, pop, punk emo or screamo....

This guy has one of the best, most distinctive voices for country music. I loathe new country music; this older stuff is the only country I'll listen to anymore. Nowadays all the voices sound exactly the same, the turnarounds & chord progressions are the same, etc. This was good stuff.
