This must be one of the best recording Hoss ever did. Though Waylon never did a poor recording. I discocered it yesterday, and played the tune over and over again through the evening.
-"For I come to know, when it's all said and done'....I know what is real"...Waylon Jennings still reaches into the heart, with his music!~We remember...Waylon!
NO ONE, i mean no one can ever sound the way this man does, or touch my heart like he does, Im so happy that you gave me the opportunity to hear this song over and over again.
What a moving farewell song, you maybe gone Waylon but your music never will. I have many wonderful memories every time I play your beautiful songs and that makes missing you a little easier!
Another great and beautiful song by The Hoss. Very different with the piano instead of his legendary guitar playing, but sadly he was unable to play the guitar as he got closer to his final days. A wonderful artist that is truly missed. The mold from which the likes of Waylon, Cash, & Willie has been shattered, and it will be a very, very long time before we see even a little bit of that type of musical talent again. Thank you Waylon for many wonderful songs & memories. A huge fan...
@The867530969 - i agree, however as for it being a long time before we see talent like that again- to be totally honest I do not think we will EVER see the likes of talent such as this EVER again. Thank God that these wonderful men left us thier legacy on record for all the generations to come!
The best thing anyone can do, is to be informed of family health history,
Learn what causes diabetes, avoid fast/junk food, avoid drugs, severely limit alcohol and cola (Sugar) consumption, don't smoke, be active, work hard, maintain a healthy balanced diet, exercise.
Seek professional medical advice from your doctor and inform yourself and apply what you learned long BEFORE you are told you have Diabetes. Teach your children right, that they also don't suffer.
It doesn't look like any one answered you directly, but with all the comments being about Waylon on this song, you may already know that this is a song from the great Waylon. (Cash and Waylon had very distinctive voices, and styles.) & yes it is a very beautiful song.

I understand this was Waylon's last recording, played at his public memorial service in Nashville which was the first time it was heard by his fans.
His near 20 year fight with diabetes finally did him in.
It may well be that he didn't take care of his diabetes as well as he could have.
It's a very serious condition that shouldn't be taken lightly. Education, diet, exercise, and management are key.
Like many,
Waylon had it.
Johnny Cash had it.
My Grandfather had it.
Now, I've got it.

@JonasMusicc what you do is play the song , and play your insttrument right along with it so you get the hang of the song, thats what i do.
cutie12980 1 year ago
@JonasMusicc Please don't do it !!It's very good this one! It's too late isn'it?
