That's a funny story about the '59 cadillac fins. There's a stroy about the " mako shark corvette" concept. Bill Mitchell who was the cheif designer after Harley Earl retired, he wanted the corvette painted the same color and all and the paint shop said it can't be done so Bill brought a shark that he had on the wall and went on vacation. While he was away the paint shop painted the corvette the colors that they wanted and repainted the shark to match. Google mako shark corvette concept.

So much to say: One could look at the tail end of a cad and see no less than a wild eyed indian with a mohawk on his head and as i look at my miniature of a '59 what can be observed is the "skull and crossbones" on the front fenders headlight housing and all brick-a-brack below it. Wat would be the subliminal suggestion?
