  • after watching this video, it made sense, my keys are labeled and the "lightbulb" went off after a few minutes

  • @datdmnaggie and how much did you pay the watch the video ? you got to pay

    for the rest Duh !!!!!!!

  • thank you' jjdn4 for the encouragement im only trying to be a blessing .

  • This really helps a lot! Thanks man! I'm gonna buy your dvd as soon as possible! How many lessons are there in total?

  • Those of you who are too advanced for this tutorial stop criticising his shortcomings! be a productive member of society, post a video tutorial and pick up what he left off. I'm a straight up beginner I learned a lot from this video, he's a great instructor .You Haters stop attacking the guy . Harrold, ignore any negative comment , you don't owe any explanation, people like me who does not have time to go to piano school appreciate your generosity and I'd like to buy your tutotial dvd. Blessed

  • @steveharrold thank you " draculauploader " i didn't think you were rude . we are

all learning more day bye day . I 've been playing a long time and i know alot ,

but i certainly don't know it all . Thank you for you comment . i thought it

    was very thought provoking .

  • @steveharrold @draculauploader i agree ! using the western tuning

system there are 12 tones from which you have to construct

so many things , so you must KNOW some basic things like

the difference between building triads and seventh chords . And

in some cases like studying chord voicing when to leave out the

root ( traditional chord spelling ) to add other extentions and

still know what chord your emplying it just depends on where you are in

    the game

  • @datdmnaggie this is steve harrold the teacher in the video . piano playing

is 80 percent information and only 20 percent application . you can only play

what you know . once you know it you can play it . take the time to learn

    the fundamentals .

  • sorry but a chord considered a 3 or more notes at the same time not 2...

  • @draculauploader so if i play a ( E ) and a ( Bb ) ( at the same time ) in my left hand since your correcting me , does this or does this not clearly emply a

very specific chord ! explain this if you can , if you can't buy the DVD Please

  • Hello , I am the piano teacher in this video tutorial.

  • @steveharrold i think it was much more cheap and better to go to a music school . I have been playing the piano 4 years and 20 $ is a bit too much for the beginners , dont you think?

  • @1Mihailo you mean to tell me you wouldn't spend your lunch money for one or

days and spend it on the craft you love the best . Man , i spent my rent money on

books and videos when i really wanted to play . at the end of the day i now

  • yes u talked way tooo much i dont know anything im learning but just get to the point...really

somethind for you to sink your finger into !

  • @jjdn4 datdmnaggie and how much did you pay the watch the video ? you got to pay

    for the rest Duh !!!!!!!

  • Thank you i found the information useful. ive been playing for a while but only by ear so learning some theory helps

  • 1- A chord is really three notes. 2- You should've played the C scale a whole octave instead of just 7 notes.

  • not so , when building a foundational

chord with the letf hand , you can use

just 2 notes to emply a chord

    ( chord voicing 101 )

  • and to correct you , the c scale notes are :

    C,D,E,F,G,A,B THE NEXT C Starts a new

Octive sound sorority look it up .

    music theroy 101

  • @Dadee3 when talking chord building , to be clear you use the first 7

notes of the scale to show tones that are use to build basic chords.

you then extend past the first 7 to the 8th note which is referred to as an octive

which is the first extension which just mean you extend past the regular scale

this is used to make more falvorful chords like c7th 13th chords or c7 b11th

chords and on and on and on...................

  • @PRETTYBOI24480 oh this is steve harrold the teacher in the video

using prettyboi24480's lab top to respond a post some one posted

but in closing , you only include the octive note of the scale when

playing music 0r practicing your scales . not building chords . oh and

you can emply a c7 chord by just playing a E and a Bb in gthe left hand

    a 2 note chord .

  • i enjoyed it.

  • talking too much. i have learned nottin.just talk talk talk.didn;t play nottin. bad tutorial.wasted my time

  • the series is called " 0 to Pro , not Pro to

zero. in these dvd lessons i as the teacher

asume that you know nothing . By theEND

you'll be Jamming , not the first DVD

sorry i bored you . A lot of people who just

started playing keys loved it .

  • Doesn't it just amaze you how that when a teacher, ANY teacher takes his time and effort to post information on YouTube a bunch of goofs will get on here and try to tear down everything you do. It takes so much time to do a tutorial (check out my own) and everyone has a different style of teaching, but WHY are people so critical? If they are getting nothing from a lesson, they should just move on to another video that helps them in particular.

  • i hear you . i have found that most people

that say they want to learn to play fall into 2 categories : 1. their board and just don't

have anything better to do or 2. the really

love music and they really want to learn

and usually when they want to learn their

very grateful for any information they get ,

certainly if it's free . when i started

i was hungry for any help i could get , and was really

glad when some one took a minute of

    their busy day to share

  • Plus the FAT chords and juicy keyboard tricks are on the dvd . YOu Have to

    BUY IT " Da " !!!

  • @ussardor or you kidding ? im the teacher in the video . i am quoting imformation

i learned in college and about 40 different books i read . Key !!!! WATCH IT

AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN , THE LIGHT BULB WILL COME ON .

    I PROMISE !!!!

  • @ussardor datdmnaggie and how much did you pay the watch the video ? you got to pay

    for the rest Duh !!!!!!!

  • Your keyboard is transposed. you are in Bb

  • when vidio was made it changed the key !
