  • This song is so dreamyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.........:) xxx

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE <3333

  • i loved this scene, especially when they showed only the two of them dancing as if they were they onloy ones in the room, too romantic, i admire jane austen

  • I want to dance to this at my wedding.

  • I thought this melody was "another dance"..? I mean that would make more sense right?

  • @BridgetteVedant Well the basic melody is by Henry Purcell so the current title would also make sense; but then again I don't have the tracklist so I can't be certain. Still, it's stunning, whatever the title :)

  • @BridgetteVedant There's another piece titled "Another Dance". I'm not sure where it's used in the movie, but it's much more upbeat and lively (although not as much as some other songs.)

  • que coisa mais linda

  • I love this melody.

May I ask, is it original of the movie?? (I don't know why, but I have the feeling I have heard it before, somewhere...)

  • @soobajeaba It's based on Henry Purcell's Rondo from the Abdelazer Suite - it's a fairly well-known bit of classical music but this is probably my favourite version.

  • @justalice61 Thank you very much! I must agree with you, I like this version too!

It has something you can't quite explain... ;)

    It is somehow intoxicating... :)

    Cheers from Spain!

  • Adoro esta melodia.

  • so INTENSE!

  • How can this dance between them be so perfect??

  • this piece makes me want to have sex. in a non gross kind of way

  • I literally get chill bumps and my stomach flips when they dance together for the first time! Beautiful song. <3

  • Listen to "The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, Op. 34 Part " (Benjamin Britten) is similar -.-

    He composed it firstly....

However i love the film and P&P :)

  • Listen to "The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, Op. 34 Part " (Benjamin Britten) is similar -.-

    He composed it firstly....

  • This was my first reaction of listening to this:

    :O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O

    [ Thoughts: How can musi be SO Beautiful?}

  • Erm, her name's not Lizzie.

Great film and soundtrack though :)

  • @Usernamethingy1 She is absolutely called Lizzy, by several characters.

  • @whirringblender You're right, it's like her nickname, same as Katherine (Kitty)

  • The best movie in existence! Lizzy and Darcy make the cutest couple, especially when the dance!

  • I would live in the movie. T_T. When movies are as cute as pride and prejudice... Or even Avatar, you just want to go in the movie and live it. It,s my case. i would be so happy to get in this movie and meet Mr. Darcy. Or just... that they follow the story. Too bad, there's no book following it. T_T

  • Why is the song so low?

  • I love pride and prejudice and this scene is so lovely! It's really annoying that I cant find the sheet music for violin -_-

  • @MysteryxSingerx definitely i've been searching too! T-T

i hope i can find it

  • C'est magnifique, très doux, une vraie merveille ! Tout l'album est un délice.

  • I loved this scene XD the whole dance was so full of tension XD

  • Songs like this one make me want to be able to play whatever instrument, just so I could play the song all day long

  • It's so fun to play this on the violin :)

  • 2:01 :

" I hope to afford your more clarity in the future "

-everything stops and they gaze at eachother-

-suddenly the ball room is clear and it is just them two-

-Elizabeth looks away from Darcy but he continues to gaze at her for a few seconds longer-

    -then they continue their dancing-

-they pass each other with a willful glare-

-they both turn off and regain their places-

-they bow and everyone is there again-

    so breathe taking <333

  • ah! I shouldn't have listened to songs from the movie! Now i'm gonna be thinking all day of how badly i want to watch it -__-

  • the song and scene is my favourite in then entire movie <3

  • this was in a practise music paper, i hadnt seen pride and prejudice before my paper but when this scene came i was like :O ahhh!

  • @freakhunter93 you have the music score of that piece ??? can you tell me where i can find it ?

  • yup found it

great song and their dancing was beautiful too

  • This is such a beautiful version of this piece of Henry Purcell. Simple, soft and pure at the same time. Love this.

  • I loved the way he stared at her throughout the dance,.....so romantic

  • im going to remember this and dance to it with my husband some day...gosh i hope my last name's going to be DARCY <3 lol :)

  • No, the original piece by Purcell was Rondeau from Abdelazer, or The Moor's Revenge. Benjamin Britten wrote variations of Purcell's theme in "A Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" to help students familiarize themselves with the instrument groups of an orchestra.

  • "May I have the next dance Miss Elizabeth?"

    "You may"

    *curstey* *bow* :D

the first time i saw this movie a couple of years ago, when i heard this part, i was practically having butterflies in my stomach and i was muttering "they're gonna dance, THEY'RE GONNA DANCE!!! haha this song is very beautiful :)

  • I am soo in love with this song and this is my favorite part of the movie. gives me goose bumps when they r dancing alone. i watch this movie over and over i never get tired.

  • So lovely... ¿Does anybody know by any chance what is the name of the original piece from which is based "a Postcard to Henry Purce"? I have listened to it but I have never been able to catch the name.

  • @noirwitch the original piece is called "The Young person's guide to the orchestra" and was composed by Benjamin Britten. It's a bit longer and was written for full orchestra though.

  • @noirwitch but the theme is from Purcell, britten only used it for his piece, sorry for the mistake.
