  • i know its not Robert Smith of the cure, BUT the guitarist could be his twin (i know its McGeogh)

  • @TakeMeBackTo1986 I think Robert Smith did perform with Siouxsie and the Banshees at one point in time. Maybe she just has great taste in the men she performs with. The Cure are awesome.

  • @kiffenlover You are correct...

  • Unmatchable................

  • The original sparkling vampyres.

  • still to this day better than any pop or rock band today.

stop wasting your time on the music now and go back and listen to real music like this.

  • @kimo1371 Right about that! Most of what I listen to is the 90s down. ALOT of 80s stuff like this. Everytime I hear music like this i'm happy but sad at the same time cause it's like "what happened to music" and because the people of my generation grow up not knowing real music. It's all about electronics and auto tune now.

  • The guitar arpeggio/solo is amazing McGeoch was a genious.....the greatest guitarist of his generation. I TRULY LOVED THEM......ok it was Siouxsie.....Muaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very unique music.

  • im here because of johnny marr, one of the greatest guitarist to ever live

  • I've always wanted to be Siouxsie! She still has it.

  • @MsTinkerbellrox

    me too!!!!

  • Love her so much .

  • Siouxsie... One of a kind. Wonderfull!

  • their best song 2 me(powerful stuff)...big influence on johnny marr

  • Words cannot describe how great this song is, and this band for that matter, the music speaks for itself, there is nothing else like it, others will imitate, but Siouxsie stands alone, and she and the banshees stand the test of time.

  • Siouxsie is a goddess, and Budgie is one of the best drummers in rock.

There's gotta be a cosmic reason for this.

  • gypsy gimme your tears i only found out about this song cuz of the movie dooms day and been hooked since

  • end of the eighties...colours, impressionism, dark wave...listen to the guitars only. Siouxsie and the Banshees had their own style...

  • this was really heavy back then... SIOUXSIE IS LORD

  • Major love to Siouxsie and the Banshees <3

  • Tanzlust!!!

  • long live the wicca!!!!!

  • divine for ever!!!!!! , D

  • I'm here because of my mum.

  • I didn't know Lady Gaga played drums

  • came here form doomsday.... took me so long to find this song lol

  • What a classic song by Siouxsie and the Banshees, one of many. Juju is such an amazing album. John McGeoch is still missed today as an inspirational guitarist, and pure talent.God rest his soul

  • Thumbs up if your here to wank over siouxsie !

  • @WOLFIE1877SA My sperm isn't worthy of her 8-(

  • @WOLFIE1877SA

I wasn't.....but now that you mention it.

  • I'm here because this is the first 45rpm vinyl single I ever bought and it's still my favourite.

  • I'm here because of Siouxsie :)

  • Classic stuff...just had my fix of Helter Skelter, Spell Bound, Dear Prudence and Hong Kong Garden....absolutely "Awesome". I agree with you 'batgurrl'....been there since the beginning and never looked back ;o) Sorry just gotta do Helter Skelter one more time!

  • used to have this on vinyl as a teen and wore it out

  • I was a Siouxsie fan since she 1st appeared, but I am here in this moment because I had to delete

True Blood Spellbound from my DVR earlier today for space, and needed my 'fix'. Finally a great song at the end of an episode - was looking forward to Burning Down the House, but it was a fucking cover - lol. thanx for the upload

  • Loved this song for 30 years.

  • I'm here because i will always believe that Siouxsie is one of the most if not the most underrated female singer of her generation such power in her voice and beauty to match better than anything this genre has produced since those great days back in '76 to now take note pretenders this is how you insure longevity by simply being a mistress at your craft !

  • fantastica

  • im here because of duffel

  • Don't they tokyo/ Budgie truly rocks - a great drummer.

  • so good !

  • Those drums sound fucking GREAT.

  • Gracias por el pase Juanma! 55555*

  • This was in trueblood? God, I don't know if I'm disappointed in them using Siouxsie for garbage or happy that there is someone left in the media business that still has good taste in music.

  • F!

  • Essa Siouxsie era feia pra cacete hein... rsrs

  • Think I'm in love with her...

  • I'm here because I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @MWigandr Damn your trolling crosses many lines, genres, politcal, and music?

    don't respond.

  • If I wasn't gay... god damnit.

  • @ecrown88 Dito

  • Uck !! Love you and the song. Am sitting in fake fur fabric and happy.

  • It sends you spinning, you have no choice.

  • I'm here cause I'm a pistols fan...

  • Mistress - Love U

  • Minha preferida ♥

  • I came here for this amazing band.

  • I came here for Steve Lillywhite. Just kidding!

  • I came here for Budgie. What a drummer!

  • not sure about the woods! but song the best.

  • Long live the wiccan

  • weirdly enough i also got introduced to the later stuff after watching doomsday and thinking-that sounds familiar!! 3 lp's later... had only the scream beforehand. brilliant music. doing what they wanted to do and not fitting into some rubbish predetermined genre.. dunno if you can do that anymore??? also siouxsie is an ace front person with much intelligence and wit and also very attractive (i was scared of her when i was a child).

  • The Mother of Goth

  • Listened to them before True Blood. Sorry to say but the song did fit the episode perfectly. And I don't think it's so bad that people are here because of True Blood. I see it as True Blood exposing people to knew and amazing music, that people otherwise would never find out about. So maybe it's a good thing!!

  • @kyrston09 i agree with everything except the new music thing. this is not new music. this is the ancestor of goth. &what episode was this song on? i feel like i would have remembered hearing siouxsie on trueblood

  • from 2:31 absolutely epic and majestic

  • Have such a crush on her. Such a trancing video too.

  • Awesome song and video

  • Class tune....x

  • Had such a crush on Siouxsie back in the day! Original material and a haunting voice, even now it gives me goosebumps, the hair on the back of my neck's standin up just listenin to her.

  • surepitious

  • final flare<3

  • They're so amazing.

  • I came here because of Doomsday, I stayed because of Siouxsie!

  • alarmingly influential band and Sioux is still a fashion icon to would be bad seeds everywhere!

  • Sexy Siouxsie owww owww.

  • thumbs up if youre here because you like running through the woods

  • @KDol0 Didn't Harry Potter steal that scene!?!

  • @KDol0 only to find, the girl was never there...

  • As a Goth in the mid to late 80's who then rode the drug fueled lovefest of the early 90's Acid/Rave scene it's great to come back and relive these times now.

  • Whatever happened to Siouxsie?

  • @probrojeffro She still makes music and does gigs here and there. I heard recently she is working on new material so watch out for some new Siouxsie music.

  • @probrojeffro the media decided to go from good music to bad they went from punk and metal to pop and rave its said really cuz siouxsie is a brilliant musician and a massive influence to some of the music today a lot of todays musicians could learn a lot from siouxsie sioux

  • Thumbs up if you're actually here because you are a Siouxsie and the Banshees FAN

(My Sioux is so Awesome ♥♥♥♥ )

  • @MiyuGoreLivingDead I'm not gonna lie, I'm here because of Doomsday.

  • for heaven's sake. who ISN'T here because of The Offspring or True Blood?

  • @cmclsrnsee thank god

  • @hollyhock18x7 me too

  • @hollyhock18x7 me, I am here because I know good music without the use of TV shows

  • @hollyhock18x7 I'm not here because of that shit. Just coz I love Siouxsie.

  • @hollyhock18x7 me, i love the offspring but how do they relate?

  • @DethThrasher1 i have no idea

  • @hollyhock18x7 I am here NOT because of The Offspring and True Blood. Siouxsie is a true icon, plus Robert Smith's inspiration

  • @hollyhock18x7 Im here because I love Siouxsie and the Banshees

  • @hollyhock18x7 what are they? ;)

  • @hollyhock18x7

Was this song ever in True Blood?

  • @hollyhock18x7

    poser

  • @hollyhock18x7 - Me. Plus i couldn't give a flying fuck about The Offspring or True Blood. They are not even in the same league as Siouxsie, they both seek to borrow something from her for their own fame.

  • @hollyhock18x7 Whats true blood? not another teenage angst show for the non creative generation.

  • @TheSaoirse777 practically. it's another stupid vampire show. just for adults. its on HBO. i watch it because one of the stars is incredibly hot. but i liked siouxsie first.

  • @hollyhock18x7 me. im a long time fan.

  • I think i accidentally thumbs down-ed it instead of thumbs up. ooops

  • @hollyhock18x7 im here for a better reason, the movie Doomsday

  • @hollyhock18x7

For heaven’s sake, who’s a True Blood fan and not already a Siouxsie and the Banshees Fan? Save your generalizations for your soap operas please.

  • @hollyhock18x7 For god's sake i've never even heard of those show?? until I came here. WTF. I'm here for the goddamn moooozick!!!

  • True Blood! :D

  • I watched True Blood and I wanted to listen to the song again :D

  • sick guitar and love her voice

  • so good

  • I think this is their best work. it's a masterpiece!

  • Yeah!!!! Music from "Doomsday". The movie.

  • I love that yellow dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why don't Goths dress like that than the total depressing attire?

  • Live music video, love the sound of this one. According to wiki, this group was one of the top 3 to birth the gothic rock genre & subculture. Along with Bowie & others, like Bauhaus, and Rice's Interview with a Vampire, The Damned lead singer who dressed 24/7 like a vampire, etc. However it says the drum was NOT a major feature of goth rock music, especially bass drums, yet also includes tribal as an influence. Seems contradictory to me. LOVE this song though :)

  • The drums ... yes yes yes

    <--- loves drum-driven

  • There are some songs that become the soundtrack to your life for a while. For me, this was one. I have loved this song since the day it was released.

  • I loved cross country running - chasing siouxsie through the woods.

  • @pm966 This is surely a song for RUNNING! Its all I can think about when I hear this song. Even though Im not a runner lol.

  • I love this song but I have to say...one of the things you hope to leave behind forever when leaving school is the dreaded Cross Country Running - miserable hours spent running across rough terrain (teachers thought it was a Winter activity for some reason). If I'd been in a band and the video director had suggested Cross Country, I'd have been on the phone to my mother for a note about some kind of asthma in a shot.

  • I <3 Siouxsie - from the 80th till today.

    I'm entranced...

    Thank you for the upload!!

  • LAKAI!!

  • True Blood? I don't remember this song being on there.

  • @DarkwaveDuck it's in the end credits for episode 8 of season 4. :)

  • my muse!!I love her *_*

  • great band and a great song and I love Siouxsie and the banshees music a lot

  • Very good music!

    ¡Muy buena música!

  • THIS IS REAL MUSIC!

  • Doomsday.. :D! Sol Rules

  • R.I.P.John McGeough,he did some marvelous work on a lot of records.

  • I swear,I was born in the wrong generation. I'm 16 right now..Look what we have: Justin Bieber,Miley Cyrus,Rihanna,Nicki Minaj etc...I wish I was born earlier

  • @LoveyouAdamLambert

Glad you like the music! But rest assured, we had plenty of crap back then, too. Siouxsie was not exactly "pop music." :)

  • @LoveyouAdamLambert

Glad you like the music! But rest assured, we had plenty of crap back then, too. Siouxsie was not exactly "pop music." :)

BTW: If you like Siouxsie, you might also like Xmal Deutschland. Check it out.

  • @LoveyouAdamLambert we both,so =(

  • She is so f***ing beautiful.

  • quality just lasts....

  • I have no idea what True Blood is, but this song is a masterpiece!

    sorry for my bad english...

  • @iUnicorntroll I give a flying fuck about True Blood. It's my favorite show. I, unlike you, have good taste in TV. (:

Also, True Blood obviously is letting their fans listen to good music. Who cares about how people are listening to this song? All that matters is that they did listen to it. Asshole.

  • @mandyrulezforever big whoop

  • love this song!

  • i love and miss John he was the best guitarist when he was in the banshees, fuck true blood and anyone who knows this songs cuz of that, stupid era

  • she's kinda hot wearing that outfit. wonder how well she aged.... :)

  • @xXthefuzzmancomethXx Pretty well as Siouxsie never seems like such a fan of the sun, but once in a while she wears some fake tan!

  • The makeup!

    *dies*

  • I Love The Yellow...!!!

  • Love it love it love it. I'm so glad people the age I was when this came out can hear this stuff. The 80s get a slagging from many but these people forget they gave us gems like this, The Smiths, Echo & The Bunnymen and so on.

  • I want a beautiful yellow dress like hers!! *0* She is gorgeous!

  • I heard about this BEFORE TRUE BLOOD! Anyone seen Doomsday??!!! That movie should ring a bell for this song!!!

  • @ZOMBIEZ667 who gives a FUCK how anyone finds good music....jumping on you tube and trying toi seem cool because u did not watch true blood is the same as racism..... we all hear music somewhere, somehow for the first time..... is it a crime that True Blood found its way to new listeners - NOPE!!!! you are a prime example of the my way or the highway world!!! pathetic!!!happiness to all who found this song TB or other........ great song! i even owned it on vinyl. good times!!!

  • @househeadericmd you said it all. fixing the world by sewing one ***hole shut at a time :)

  • @househeadericmd Wow... I wasn't trying to start a debate. I was just trying to bring up something interesting since True Blood is the only thing coming out of people's mouths. I wasn't trying to put any view or anything so don't try and judge someone or else you shall be judged in ways more than one by any person on this site. You didn't have to be so rude. I was just trying to remind some people who have seen that movie about the particular scene where you heard the song. Is that so wrong??

  • still the best club music ever....way ahead of their time

  • First time Ive ever heard this song and I cant believe I havnt heard this before its pretty fucking awesome.

  • @BanjoCobblepot

    Same here.

  • @iUnicorntroll I give a flying fuck about True Blood. Cuz I have good taste in TV.

  • Siouxie is the QUEEN of HALLOWEEEEEN!

  • I love Ms. Sioux, but I'm not going to snub ALL of today's music. I mean, the Banshees influenced Lady Gaga, Muse, Ke$ha, Avenged Sevenfold, et al.

  • Um, BTW, ppl like Unicorn here are just growling the way a dog growls when you get close to it when it's eating - possessive and sc
