Ok if you are going to be an MA then you will get a chance to do Mobile Security. There are different aspects of the job though to include VBSS. I was involved in this back in 2003 when Iraq started back up. There is more specialized training just for VBSS now.

Actually he is an MA now but wasn't at the time but when these pictures were taken VBSS was brand new to the fleet. They are among one of the first teams. At this time VBSS wasn't even a billet it was an extra job that was only given to those trained to do it through special training. With the 15 hour watches and you being on day 14 sounds like a poorly run command. Sorry about that.
