Materials with the same luxurious appointments, soft or sporty ride depending on your setting, a whisper quiet, smooth, I4 that even with the 4X4 transmission still can get 32+mpg. Plus, it can actually offroad as well as a full size Range Rover for 96%of the time.
Ugly ass car, my ex got a basic white one for her sixteenth, the interior feels like cheap ass plastic and it's a flashy little shit with what I think is a crap ride. I got a range rover for my sixteenth, she thinks it's ugly, but it's much nicer, quieter, it has REAL LEATHER and REAL WOOD, softer or sportier when you need it, and it can actually off road!
But for the price range of 35-55k I'd wait two months for the new Range Rover Evoque to come out, full Range Rover quality build and materi
i hope that the diesel version of this really delivers; I mean, when comparing this to a 4 cylinder gasoline q5 which gets 27 mpg hwy, and is heavier than this thing, a diesel 4 cylinder glk had better get mid to upper 30s on the hwy, otherwise it'd just be pathetic on mercedes' part. One thing to add, I love how the shifter resembles that of a manual shifter.

I just don't get why the US (or in general North American) versions are so much worse than the European original. Especially the exterior always looks misshaped and somewhat cheaper.
I never got why you would actually choose to drive a car without stick if it is not equipped with a really big engine that makes it hard to handle if you're not a great driver. The new automatic versions are good compared to the old ones but make cars more expensive, slower and use more gas.
As much as I love the GLK, I couldn't bring myself to trade my FJ in for one...maybe if it had a low range gearbox and meatier tires on smaller wheels....ah well. The GLK is a great compact SUV and rides very nicely.
@nelson4568 That's a good choice, my brother has a FJ and it's a nice car for off-roading, but it can't compare to the 350 which I own for ride, comfort, or general style. You will not regret it, the fit and finish of the car is quite impressive as well.
I love choice, and thus, I love the GLK. The exterior is polarizing, and I happen to be in the camp that loves it, but I can understand those who don't. Regardless, it's nice to see Benz take more design risk instead of designing by committee. With this approach, we'll all have better choices of cars that meet our preferences.
My MK II TT is on the way out . . .and this would have been the last thing I would have thought to replace it with...but I think my deposit is ready to go! And CDI!
MAN~ the interior is ugly~lol and seriousely, this is a real chick car~ Rather get new RX350, the new look is no longer a woman car and GLK has taken over that name LOL
My my aren't we a stylish c%nt with the open toed heals. Guess she doesn't watch Canada's worst driver. They teach you in drivers ed to wear suitable shoes for driving. Those aren't shoes for driving in (much less walking).
She has me convinced she knows all about cars. She should give a "tour" of the back seat of the car.
It blows to much gas for its main competitors, That has been Mercedes problem, Plus BMW is coming out with the new X3 model, BMW is shooting for 19 city 29 hwy
Mercedes better cars are in Europe, Plus they save more gas.. They should bring them to the USA.. they have the A class and B class which still not being sold in the USA..
Well, in my opinion I think Benz is going the wrong direction. Instead of keeping the German-like design, they made it look like a cheap American vehicle.
i am thinking of buying this car and it is up against the lexus RX450-H, but the mercedes is a little nicer an alot of my neighbors have the RX400. i found one of the GLK's used at a dealership w/ 10,000 miles on it. should i buy it? please respond, i really need a new car
@proxima That's true until you meet one who really knows abut cars and actually one who can fix themwithout being a mechanic. After that you will feel like your ass is kicked ... just giving you a heads up.

Am I ever sick of this quoting fuel consumption figures in litres per km. When did this become standard in Canada? IS it the legal and accepted standard in Canada... or being forced on everyone like in many other parts of the world?
