Ugly ass car, my ex got a basic white one for her sixteenth, the interior feels like cheap ass plastic and it's a flashy little shit with what I think is a crap ride. I got a range rover for my sixteenth, she thinks it's ugly, but it's much nicer, quieter, it has REAL LEATHER and REAL WOOD, softer or sportier when you need it, and it can actually off road!

i hope that the diesel version of this really delivers; I mean, when comparing this to a 4 cylinder gasoline q5 which gets 27 mpg hwy, and is heavier than this thing, a diesel 4 cylinder glk had better get mid to upper 30s on the hwy, otherwise it'd just be pathetic on mercedes' part. One thing to add, I love how the shifter resembles that of a manual shifter.

I just don't get why the US (or in general North American) versions are so much worse than the European original. Especially the exterior always looks misshaped and somewhat cheaper.

I never got why you would actually choose to drive a car without stick if it is not equipped with a really big engine that makes it hard to handle if you're not a great driver. The new automatic versions are good compared to the old ones but make cars more expensive, slower and use more gas.

As much as I love the GLK, I couldn't bring myself to trade my FJ in for one...maybe if it had a low range gearbox and meatier tires on smaller wheels....ah well. The GLK is a great compact SUV and rides very nicely.

@nelson4568 That's a good choice, my brother has a FJ and it's a nice car for off-roading, but it can't compare to the 350 which I own for ride, comfort, or general style. You will not regret it, the fit and finish of the car is quite impressive as well.

I love choice, and thus, I love the GLK. The exterior is polarizing, and I happen to be in the camp that loves it, but I can understand those who don't. Regardless, it's nice to see Benz take more design risk instead of designing by committee. With this approach, we'll all have better choices of cars that meet our preferences.

My MK II TT is on the way out . . .and this would have been the last thing I would have thought to replace it with...but I think my deposit is ready to go! And CDI!

in brushed aluminum, i agree it looks terrible. the audi Q5 pulls off the aluminum way better, but in wood it looks awesome imo.

Yes, I just got one. Very worth it. Interior is premium, engine nice and smooth, and its not on every corner like the Lexus.
