NASA have a budget of 18 billion dollars and the European space agency only have a budget of 5.65 billion dollars yet we're still doing alot towards science and research
Don`t be so optimistic. This is for very low sub-orbit only. Nothing as difficult compared to real earth orbit. It`s the same as virgin galactic is now putting into operation in the US. And they have actually build and tested it. European governments can`t even launch humans into space. We should be focussing on Europe instead of the americans. They are developing a moon landing capability again. While Europe`s biggest ambition is the ATV Evolution. This is very cool but far from leading.
actually EU is behid in everything nowdays and will still be if they still will pull down rich people with vision to pay their lazy unemployed dickheads
@SilverBulIet Yeah, we're kinda busy fighting a war in Iraq nobody has any fucking idea why we're fighting right now. maybe we'll catch up in another decade.

@SilverBulIet First off the civilian space industry I believe has taken a shift towards privately owned companies largely due to governments inability to take large risks, so it will not be a country that wins or loses. Also the European Organization of Nuclear Research is composed of many countries, while the U.S. is only one so obviously the budget is much larger for scientific research, however I do not disagree that the U.S. needs a radical change to how our budget is spent. Go science! lol
