I haven't but this is the first time I saw a pro bowler or any bowler do the sign of the cross. He did it very sneakily. I am talking about Tommy Hudson.
Once again Tommy Hudson does the sign of the cross and got the winning strike. I wonder if Bob Handley would have done the sign of the cross what would have happened?
Are you sure that doesn't have something to do with the type of pinsetters on the lanes? I am too young to really remember the 80's era of bowling, but looking at these old clips, most tournaments seemed to be at Brunswick centers...meaning Brunswick A2 pinsetters are seen in all the clips. Brunswick and AMF pinsetters sound completely different...and that leads to a different atmosphere altogether. I think that is where the sound difference comes from. Just my two cents...
Great match -- I only wish there were more Bob Handley videos. I loved the way he put everything into the ball every shot.

I still have a Tommy Hudson LT-48 ball I got back in 1980. Still does a pretty good job even on todays lanes.

You must live in Naples FL. I had Tommy drill me a ball last winter while I was down there on vacation.

I always thought that Brunswick and AMF each had their own distinct sound, even back then.
