  • whoa! He's very very very very good but I'm only just finding out about him. Any fans who can suggest some of his work I should check out?

  • Never been in love is an amazinggg song just all of his songs are great.

  • @EivetsRednow2

Black Girl Pain.. Beautiful Struggle.. Literally anything he touches is Golden.

  • thanks for the suggestions. i have heard those and they are very very fantastic. I like some songs more than others (have favorites) but none i've seen so far have been bad.

I was listening to him this morning just before school, his stuff activates your brain, except then you get mad at the system and want to snarl at the teachers LOL sometimes his stuff seeps into your speech and classwork :P

  • worth trying out might be get by, where do we go, too late. at least that are my favorite ones :)

  • get reflection eternal the album. ear drum's not a bad album. and any black star stuff is excellent along with Mos Def

  • life is a beautiful struggle...tht line is so serious man...

  • the piano is stuck in my head in class!da daa da daa shit goes hard

  • so beautiful , so smooth by my personal fav artist as well as lupe fiasco their flow + lycrics = mind fucked. It's a shame where I live hardly any1 knows of these 2 genuises, but some of my friends are comming around even tho they dont listen to hip hop cuz they think its all like lil wayne and souljah boy and 50 cent.

  • I have difficulty believing 'life is a beautiful struggle'...guess I'll have to listen to the rest of the album to understand!

    Great song and artist.

  • real shit.

  • i just got into talib and all of his stuff ive listened too is just smooth and refreshing

  • mary j. blige sounds so refreshing. her voice sounds so different than usual (higher in octave). it's nice. didn't even realize it was her at first!

  • who is the girl¿? say me the name pls, thanks-

  • Mary L Blige

now dont be checking up nudes my Du

instead peep my channel for hip hop beats

  • how do you make a list of the top rappers and not mention NWA? The most controversal group that brought alot of attention to rap and the members of the group(except for dj yella) go on to lead VERY successful solo careers? Those people being Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Mc-Ren, Dr. Dre.

Please don't make a list and forget some of the top rappers that were in the game.

  • This is good shit here.

  • what album is this song from?

  • It's from his 2nd album called "The Beautiful Struggle"

  • thanks

  • 3rd, possibly 4th if you count blackstar

  • Take it to the bridge Mary J.

    Instant Classic.

  • mary j and talib kweli collabo-beautiful....even bttr

  • "At exactly which point do you realize, that life without knowledge is death in disguise?" - Talib Kweli

  • blackstar collabo

  • No I mean that it was Nas that said "I sip the Dom P, watchin Ghandi til I'm charged, then writing in my book of rhymes all the words pass the margin"

  • i knew that :)

  • the world is yours is my favorite Nas song, good shit

Then writin in my Book Of Rhymes, all the words pass the margin"

  • Nasty Nas

  • fuck that whats up with sharing the emblem!

  • Early Mary J & Kweli... love it!!!!

  • see this is the good rap unlike the lil wayne plies and florida shit but i love metal

this icp twiztid darklotus 2pac immortal technique sage francis and common now thats my rap none of that lil wayne shit

  • omg i searched ages for this song

    finally i got it ^_^

  • "life is a beautiful struggle"-talibkwelli

  • Fuck a list but you want namees of some of the best rappers Imma name BIG, Nas, Talib Kweli, Rakim, Big L, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Tupac, Mos Def, GZA, Eminem, Jay, AZ, Andre 3000, and Big Pun just to name a few.

  • Sound like a Kanye beat.

  • it is

  • I'm a metal musician, almost strictly. i play heavy riffs with solos and breakdowns. but music like this speaks volumes. Talib Kweli is an amazing musician and artist who i have a lot of respect for. he speaks from his soul and it shows in how powerful this song is. This whole album is powerful and i plan on picking his new one up when it hits. A+

  • you're very tolerant...i like which (or who..i'm not sure...^^) think like you...

    *THUMBSUP*

  • this song and video goes deep...for real!

  • if more rappers came thru bombarding us with

classics like this hip hop wouldnt be the way it is now

    money can still be made

    it's too sad

  • The sad thing is I've only ever seen this song on TV once. In total I've seen Kweli songs on TV like 3 times.

  • yup. the sad the is, most folks r only hearing about fat asses, loot, rims etc.. in songs these days.

  • We need more shit like this bein' played.

  • 1. Rakim

    2. Nas

    3. Az

    4. Talib kweli, common and Mos def.

    5. This spot is for every MC out there respresenting the streets... From Lupe up to KRS-one.

  • The only omission i see in your list is biggie. Anytime you make a list its up for debate, but big ups for puttin it out there.

  • i agree

  • all about the struggle. this is real rap not no sugar coated shit we see now days.

  • the only song better than this in meaning and lyrics is hope by twista and faith evans. its on the coach carter soundtrack... give it a listen

  • I luv this song

  • wonderfull song...

nowadays rappers do club shit forgetting what real hip hop is

  • true story

  • damn it, dave chappelle needs to have another block party!

  • You have to look at the story behind the song, you see a young brother strugling and being torchert by those guys, but at the end they like him because of his lyrics, thats respect, very good song, im liking it.

Mary j blige is very good again her voice is so pure, you can't hate it. Respect to kweli and mary j

  • Kweli got me into hip hop, real talk, like 01....

  • sad video clip in the begin :(

    peace up!

  • i luve dis song....talib kweli is soo heavy...

da best ppl in hip hop now in my opinoin are

    common

    talib kweli

    mos def

    lupe fiasco

    the roots

    kanye west

  • lmao imagine if they make lyk a rap group dat wud be sik

  • kanye has a way different style than the others, that's why kanye is on the top and the others are climbing to the top

  • the others have had established careers how are they climbing for ye's spot... (minus lupe)

  • Agree wit tha list!!

  • este video me puso los pelos de punta.. me encanta.. me hizo sentir..! sensaciones!!:D q nunca sentí.. y recuerdos.. q siempre quedaran!:D

  • Lyrically 99% of niggas in the game couldn't touch Kweli right now. Love the beat, especially the piano. I know it sounds crazy but the piano needs to be incorporated into hip hop some more.

  • this song is the truth...real hip hop...thank god for artist like talib kweli

  • Talib Kweli, Common, Mos Def und John Legend sind die besten und bei den wird Menschlichkeit in vordergrund gestellt. Bei denen ist wahr was sie erzählen und nicht dieses aufgesetzte bei anderen Rappern. Go on and keep it real.

  • KANYE WEST IS GREAT PRODUCER.

  • I AGREE

  • This is my fav Talib Kweli Song, always speaks to me every time I play it.

You know if this song doesnt speak to you, you don't know real hip-hop.

  • Talib and Nas... Keepin' it real... Showin' there's no need to act like a gangsta to make real hip hop...

  • i agree with kishornc. kweli is so underrated his music is the best

  • Life is beautiful. Life is a struggle. Life is a beautiful struggle.

    - Mos Def

  • Amen

  • Amen..

  • Amen to that. Blackstar know how to keep it real, they know what matters.

    Respect n much love.

  • this is what hip hop should be like. positive, creative, real. this guy is too underated, he needs to be sign to a better label that can promote him more cuz his muzik is stupendous!!!!

  • Pure Hip Hop!! Never Ever sell out!!

  • this is hiphop man...

  • Bump!

  • man, whenever I see kweli he's got the freshest clothin on, wherehe get all that, besides bein the best lyricist in the game, he now has the best fashion style too!
