  • Did you ruin the bolt?

  • @TheShapie95

    no

  • Hows the paint holding up to that? I just got a chainsaw fixed and I plan on painting it similar to your zombie apocalypse chainsaw. (currently its lime green and I can't stand it)

  • @NinjaAegis

I did a video on painting the chainsaw, it is holding up pretty well, but I only use it to screw around.. not many trees here

  • @GunWebsites Good to know Ill have to check that video out. I don't plan on using it a whole bunch either so it should be alright. thanks! South Florida has quite a few more trees though lol

  • looks good to me.

  • Unused the same paint you did...paint doesn't take well to the frame of my XD.

I'll up a video later today.

  • I wanna try this out on my XD40 but I'm not to sure if the type of plastic takes well to paint.

Any tips...a nice once over with hoppes gun solvent?

And how does you paint job look like with wear?

  • @ProbableCause1066

this was only done a week or so ago.. but, so far it is working well, lol

  • fun stuff.

  • is it ok to leave the bolt and everything in when you paint? wont harm anything?

  • @fuzz165

    It didn't seem to

  • Looks good. :D I think, I might do that.

  • HOLY BRAIN CELLS!

  • Very, very cool!

I like the final product. Excellent!

I have been away for a while so this was a great vid to start the catchup process.

I am a big fan . . . keep up the great work!

  • @USNERDOC

Welcome back, and thanks for the vids from your trip, it looks like it was a lot of fun !!

  • did you sand?

  • @xreddeadx

no, the only prep work I did was to put some paper towel in the barrel

  • i use that blue painters tape you know? you can cut it and shape it pretty well and it comes right off

  • @Mo7Vsta

    didn't have any

  • Where can I get that paint?

  • @lilsaucey831

    krylon = hardware store

    averoe = online prolly

  • I swear you spray painted like a quarter of an inch of spray paint on there LOL

  • pricing stickers

  • Looks sweet

  • How many coats do you think that you sprayed on that sucker?

  • @Hiluxtaco too many, it weighs twice as much as when I started

  • ?!?

  • Nice job.

  • Looks great to me. Does paint ever get into the operating systems?

  • @ELITEWAFFLES9

I was pretty far away from the computer, so I don't think so

  • @GunWebsites -__-?

I meant like in the bolt or barrel. I would think that having paint in the chamber of the weapon wouldn't be good for it.

  • @GunWebsites this one had me rolling

  • @ELITEWAFFLES9 windows already has Paint in it ;)

Gun looks great, makes me think of Jurassic Park

  • Very nice job. I would recommend one small thing.. And that is to give it a final VERY light misting over the entire gun, of the lighter tan color. That serves to soften up the harder edges of where the two colors or patterns meet. Looks great, though!

  • How do you get the paint to not sweat off? Every time I try to pain anything plastic that has a lot of contact with the face or skin it tends to get tacky and eventually rubs or transfers off. The only thing I can think of is the humidity here in God's armpit, Michigan. Looks great Gweb.

  • I would do this to mine but I am afraid I would lose it in the closet :)

  • Is the paint not bad for the trigger and bolt assembly?

  • Could you do a digital camo?

  • I did a "tactical" Krylon job on my dad's Savage 110 last year. A neat woodland camo job.

  • Custom one off!

  • Painted my rifle red, due to the fact that I live on Mars.

  • I see you sprayed over the bolt. Did that cause any problems with function? You know if you want something really cheap to pratice on, you can get those air soft spring guns from Wal-mart for $20.

  • Looks pretty snakey to me.

  • i once spray painted my AR, but i couldn't quite summon the gumption to do the entire thing, so i ended up just doing the furniture and a few mags. i didn't mind the pattern, but i never looked right with just the furniture painted, so i eventually bought new furniture for it. on day if i have the spare cash laying around i might get it professionally duracoated or something.

  • Nice work.... and nice black nail :p

  • @AnobisBloodwing

i am gonna be emo now

  • @GunWebsites More like a tactical emo

  • i really like the netting effect

    ~Chris

  • I'm working on an arctic camo pattern for an M1 Garand airsoft rifle for a friend of mine.

  • Nice!!!
