I know I am going to get some flack for this, but it looks just like a flare taken aloft on a balloon to me. The dome shape being just so much camera artifact. The "movements" are also consistant with a balloon caught up in a burst of wind.
I would love to think that it is the real thing. Unfortunatly this one falls far short for me.
yes samuel..i'm in tallahassee..i have seen this craft in 2009 again..very near where this video was taken over 5 years ago....it is not fake..no way, no how. and yes I have seen the longest version where he starts of filming in the bed of his pickup trucks and his children see and comment on the "alien" spacecraft too...probably taken off from the youtube police
minde4000: Don't think you understand why the clarity of the chopper sound makes it more likely to be faked. With a consumer video camera, especially if there is any wind or weather involved, you wouldn't hear a chopper in the distance with the immediate level and clarity it presents here. Given that the remaining audio in the video is not of the same quality, it makes it much easier to believe the chopper sound was entered later, especially considering you never actually see it! How convenient!
That' a ridiculous argument theface. The sound of the insects and birds are pretty clear as well. How convenient the cameraman never zooms in on a cicada to prove they are there right? This remains the best UFO footage I've seen and I haven't found a solid argument to explain the shape and way in which this object moves.

Some ufos are probably alien spacecraft but I don't think this video is definite proof of their existence. Maybe if it were 35+ years old but nowadays a video like this can be easily faked.
The high zoom level explains the video blur, or possibly something else. There are some trees in some frames, and later there is some chopper noise, but that's the only reference. As an audio engineer, I'd say the chopper noise was added later. It has much more clarity and depth than the rest of the audio.

its a fucking jellyfish thats all it is or someone at nasa just up the road from tallahasse messing about with propulsion tech, fuckin nazis had it in the 40s big deal, can see all those scientists looking up utube and laughing, going we got them going again..an even if it is aliens so what..is that all they ever do hang around in the sky flashing or chasing planes..get a life..

I am intrigued in the whole UFO phenomena, however this is clearly a hot-air balloon. The flicker in the middle indicates the flame and the haze around the bottom of the object are the strings attached to the bucket. Thanks for re-posting.
does anyone use tripods or books anymore for stability. you can use a long stick you know. put yer palm on a freakin mop and hold the camera. that way the camera is still. but if you hate the smell of the mop then put the wet side on the floor.
if you have ever tried filming a UFO it is not always as easy as you think. the problem with filming UFOs you never know were they will show up also you don't know how long the thing will be around so people normally try to shot as much footage as possible. these things can be gone in seconds. best thing is to get a camera with optical image stabilizer O.I.S. it helps.
