  • @spintheblackcircle4 Hello! If this is the first time you ever watched my channel videos. Now music is at TheSlimeWorkShop.

  • @SlimeTron5000 I know. I've already subscribed. =)

  • mate I haven't replied in a long time, but GOOD LUCK finding another turntable!!1 most of them dont care but FUCK EM.

  • Hello SlimeTron5000! It's CBFALL! Great Billy Joel song! Rarely played on the radio! Can you kindly post: "OH MY LOVE" by John Lennon? I've always liked that beautiful song! Thanks and have a great night!

  • Simetron:

Columbia was bought by Sony in 1986,and Renamed Sony Music. The label has been around since the 1880's!See The Wikipedia entry on Columbia Records.Brainy

  • I already know this information, but you are correct.

Unless you did not know, CBS Inc originates from the British division of Columbia, the Columbia Graphophone Company. It was a parent company of EMI until the early 1970s when it changed to EMI Records, but Columbia CBS reversed back.

I have seen how North American and Japanese Columbia labels look like. We do get imports, so we do not live under rocks.

  • @SlimeTron5000 Yes,I knew that.brainy

  • Billy Joel Rocks!I have The Two CD "Essential" Collection and it has the multi eye logo along the edge of the CD Label unlike the 45 RPM label design shown on your record. Thanks for sharing this great song!I love it!Brainy

  • Have you ever heard of CBS Inc. before?

  • @SlimeTron5000

yes,as highlited in yellow above,Sony Bought Columbia in 1986 and it became Sony Music. The"Walking Eye" was first used in the mid 50's by Columbia and an updated version came in 1961 inside a"Box" hence The Box and Eye Logo.

  • Actually, the first involvement of Sony with the Columbia business originated in 1968 when the Japanese division was formed with a stake of Sony, called CBS / Sony. American record labels in Japan were usually established with stakes of electronic conglomerates.

  • The Slime Bin. Take it or leave it. ...I'll take it! :) p.s. In the light from the window, the vinyl looks as stunning as it sounds.

  • I don't mind Billy Joel, I never was a fan of this song though....

Great sound quality man!! I "like" it!!

  • Home from work now, away from all the "Pressure"!

Excellent sound quality. Thanks for posting.

  • I know it's irrelevant to the subject matter, but that is a beautiful turntable... both in sound quality and appearance.

  • I don't give a shit about the subject matter, but write anything you want. But, thank you. It sounds well.

  • Hah alright fair enough. Sometimes going off-topic gets quite out of hand on the World Wide Web. You're most welcome.

  • Well, there are people that can't hack the 'direction' in the comments, like DrCassete, in this video of his: watch?v=Pt0GhZThWW0

  • Yeah that seems a bit harsh, agree with me or else get marked as spam. I agree with you too; not all CD Players are no hopers. I myself have a 1986 Technics SL-P2 which still performs well today. The technology was in its infancy but I'd still prefer it over CD Player in latter years.

  • @dmstealth It has a good cosmetic stimulation, and it has its own volume control (judging from a picture of the machine). Does it recognise indexes?

  • No on the index recognition. The index button is for assigning tracks to a custom index. The volume slider controls the headphone output (monitoring purposes perhaps) and it does have useful features (A-B repeat, Music Scan, Index assignment, standard CD track programming etc.). Easy to service too.

  • @dmstealth Okay. What other equipment do you have?

  • @SlimeTron5000 I'm a collector so I have a lot of gear from both ends of the quality spectrum. Only other gear in the same class would be my Teac X3 Mk. II Reel to Reel deck and Akai GX-F51 Cassette Deck.

  • @SlimeTron5000 I know this is from forever ago.. but I agree with you, lol The record looks a little warped, but the song sounds good. thanks for posting it. ps - everything from the 80's is a little warped.
