  • @Bentguitar Hi my friend Bentguitar can you tell me where i can find the version from patti page ?? it was a version in the 1950 or 1960 . it was the est version i ever heard ,, ok my friend anyway thanks

  • @pimbadoti

Sorry can't find that song listed in Patti's listof songs. Bet it was very pretty.

  • This is a Roy Acuff tune. A train song in 3/4 time..? Look up Doc Watson's interpretation of this song. As Doc says, "A train don't waltz down the track, It MOVES..." And he made this song his own. Not to take anything away from Chet. 'Cause he da man!!

  • Amen!

  • Tenessee Ernie had the best version in my books. More punch in it than what Chet does.

  • Seems like Chet was trying to give it a lazy, layed back feel. Like a train coming down the tracks down south on a hot, lazy, summer day.

  • I agree, but can not find it now.

  • EXACTLY this is the right one Peggy Pages sang it too this way does someone has the Peggy Page version ??

  • It's actually just "Streamline Cannonball". Chet was great.
