This game proves game graphics have not really improved too much since 2006.... this game looks great even today! Few games really have much noticeably better graphics than this today, maybe Crysis 2 is one. Im talkng about a significant next-gen graphics improvement over this, I doubt it will happen in games until DirectX11 will be fully utilized, which wont be until the next Xbox and PS systems come out. Sadly PC games are held back by consoles as well (due to game developers favoring console)

@journeytosilius not true, uncharted 2 has significantly better graphics than most games out there and especially compared to this game the facial details and boxyness is definitely better. Don't get me wrong, this game still looks great for it's age and so do other games such as half-life 2 but especially in the way of characters and elements such as water, graphics have dramatically improved.
