...2 Sometimes they think its rough play and it just gets them even more wound up than ever. Eventually they get the idea and you can have a great time with them and their toys. It will let them build their confidence and also teach them to be careful with us. To those who say a dog should never bite when playing I have to say fooey. They are the ones whose dog's tails are always dragging on the ground. Thye need lots of kindness and love. They thrive on it. There is no such thing as a bad Lhasa
All puppy Lhasa's bite. It's like babies wanting to touch everything except with teeth. It's part of their playing. The trick is to teach them when the biting is too hard. What I do with my Lhasa'a is play with them when they are very young and let them bite but if it's too hard I say ah-ah-ah. It gets their attention and lets them know that was too hard. If they still bite too hard I hold on to their mouth fur for a second until they stop but not so hard that it hurts them.... more....
@SpeedDaMusicUp He's just playing. You have to teach him how hard he can bite. The best way is to grab a bit of fur around his mouth and hold it for a few seconds. This will stop the hard biting eventually.
@wweecwha Yes. They are very smart little dogs and also very stubborn when they want to be. Treat them with kindness and they will always respond. They don't respond well at all to bullying.

My Lhasa Dewey is 7 and has mastered all the obedience commands. I found it easy to train him. We are now doing RallyO and he loves it.
