  • who hands tape anymore???i would never hire this rookie nigga

  • @ricosuave20 it takes real skill to hang and tape drywall, right

  • I use a bazooka.

I can tape out a 200 + sheet job in a matter of hours (butt joints/flats).

This hand taping was the way to do in the '70's. Takes way too long!

  • Thank you so much for posting this video!

It really helped me develop & refine my technic...

Q 4 U: I've got a box approx. a gyp-rock box covering some vent tubing, etc... on the ceiling of my friend's basement approx. 12' long. Thing is, when I run my level across the box, it seems to start slopping about 1" from the middle of the box to the other end. (i.e: 1 bit of the reticule box(now covered with gyp-rock sheets) is slightly off by 1" on either end. So my friend tells me. Thing is, I t

  • i got offered a job as a drywaller, should i take it? how is it?

  • @BoooobMilk Even though the concept of hanging and finishing drywall is pretty basic and easy the actual work can be pretty hard. Sometimes you are up and down scaffolding all day or stilts and it gets tiresome. And its not something you can just jump into as a career. Anyone can hang or finish drywall but it takes a little practice before you can become good enough to make a living from it. Quality and Speed are the main two aspects of finishing.

  • Why did he put the tape over the codding?

  • eres un pedejo t tardas como media ora para un tape boooooooo

  • great video, I made a belt holder outta stiff wire to hold the roll and made it easier for a beginner.

  • idiot!

  • for anyone whos handy, is there any way to patch a tiny hole (approx 1/4") in my wall with some sort of putty or something without having to replace an entire square around it? i misplaced an anchor for hanging a frame and need to move it over a bit

  • @mattg90520 i would just mud over it

  • Your supposed to use paper tape on seams where it is an angle like where the walls and cieling meet and on corners otherwise for regular seams you should use fiber tape. Damn I am a new fresh faced contractor and even I know that shit.

  • INCORRECT !!!!!!

  • yup proper way to tape i hope you prefilled, except lol you could have pre-cut the tape and also you put it on backwords, there is a crease in the tape because that is made for when you want to corner tape, hence you fold it in half. but other than that good job.. and yes walls should be warmed first lol otherwise you will be making another video of this same thing but only of what not to do lol

  • mudzin do roboty!

  • i would not hire someone without the right drywall tools!

  • That's exactly what I was looking for. Wasn't sure weather to put the tape on first or after the compound.. Cleared up my simple question. Doing my second bathroom job. The first one I didn't tape and the compound cracked.

  • its a good idea to cover the tape with a thin layer of compound after pressing it in . let it dry overnight sand it a little then a next coat slightly broader then the fist one (aprox. 30/40 cm). let it dry again for at least 8 ours. sand it as flat as posible and paint it.

  • Great Video!..I do this for a living myself...
