Australia would never host the world cup for two reasons
1. fifa is corrupt and qatar offer more money

im English and i wanted Australia to win this bid, its crazy having it in Qatar, it means nothing to them, they are not passionate about football or sport. i also think if Australia stayed in the Oceania fedreation they would have got it, because FIFA would want it in every continent but if felt like Australia was representing Aisa not Oceania.

Congratulations to the Russia bids(shocked that England only got two votes and last place- Did NOT see that coming) And the Qatar bid(even more shocked that Australia got last place- though with 4 AFC bids and 1 USA bid, not shocker it went to AFC, just thought it would be the Aussies, not Qatar) for winning the rights to host the world cup. Likely, it will be Qatar's first world cup, maximum their third. Let's hope they do good, I want them to do good, Russia and Qatar, I mean I want a good WC!

When I was in Perth I saw a truck driver shouting the "n" word at some Aborigines chilling in a park on my 2nd day! Weren't they classed as flora and fauna by Aussie law until the 1970's!! Nonetheless still would make a much better host than Qatar, the gulf sates Grand Prix's for example are just atmosphereless corporate event with fancy stadiums, Sydney 2000 was awesome! from Scotland.

Look I am Australian so u might say I'm biased but the truth is we need this. The video clip may state we are all fine and dandy. However we have major problems and by having the world cup would really benefit the country. Our tourism is at an all time low. A lot of Australians are racist and by having this will hopefully open there minds up a bit. Soccer is defiantly not a popular sport and therefore this will increase that. Average crowds are meaningless. Go to the Australian Bureau of Statistics web site mate. The most played sport (Competively) in Australia is Football....then Cricket...then Aussie Rules. I am not talking about swiming (who basically everyone does, but few do it competitively)
Kids play football up to high school and change then. I am also refeering to ALL Australians (not just male btw, in case you are being sexist)
Football also is no.1 sport in NZ and USA....surprised???

While i have very biased opinion being Australian i believe Australia should host the world cup but in that same sentiment i also respect the other bids for the world cup. USA always have a great ability to run big events such as these, England of course have all the infrastructure and is local to the major countries in club football. Qatar while small in relation to rankings would be capable in running it as Korea were also though by some to be not ranked highly enough to run the cup either.
