How do you watch the Staff Ghosts without racing agains them?

Whenever I want to study a Staff Ghost's strategy I have to run like mad to keep close to it, glancing at the botom screen to see when he's drifted, used a "turbo" mushroom and so on.

This is VERY useful! Could you please tell me how to do that? Thanks in advance ;)

I do that with a cheat, it's "Live Replay" cheat, with it you can see the ghost as though you play ;)

@LamakEdoog12345 Really, this video did help me beating the first Staff Ghosts. Specially Cheep Cheep Beach, which was somewhat challenging in the very beginning. I "perfected" my skills later on, so now I've beaten all Staff Ghosts.
