I had endless of hours of fun playing it. This game always left me wanting more. PLus that fucking dreary music made me want to slit my wrists.

Aerodynamics are all about controlling the velocities/pressures of the air particles around the car as much as possible. Downforce is created by having higher pressure(a slower air velocity) above a certain element compared to underneath the chassis where air travels quickly. At the speed the Veyron is going, as soon as it gets off the ground a bit, with the difference in elevation, disrupts airflow underneath the car, creating lift. I would say the Physics are on point :)
