I've seen this type of story telling in Some German film classics , like to the new shore, some paul kemp films ecetra. In which a story teller uses picture and songs to the public, Was this a traditonal way to tell a story or the news to the german public in the past where ,at the time a percentage of them were illiterate? this style of story telling was never done in america
