  • Fred Eaglesmith is pure genius. Seen his show twenty some times. If you haven't seen him, don't wait. Miranda Lambert is fabulous but go see Fred, he'll impress you! Saw him two days ago and I'm not being paid!

  • Funny thing... listening to the Miranda record - I thought, "This is the best song on the records." Then the coolest radio station in the nation WWHP - Farmer City, IL - I heard a live version from Fred Eaglesmith and thought, "Damn, that's a cover!" Great song.  Killer cover.

  • Miranda needed to cover this tune. All apologies to Fred, but his studio version of this tune did not - in my opinion - allow the tune to fulfill its potential. Fred is a master songsmith, no doubt. Miranda, a fine songsmith in her own right, saw a song that aligned perfectly with her as a person. The 'Revolution' version of this tune is a great example of an artist taking a song a 'making it their own'. I hope Nashville allows this tune to be a single, 'cause there's huge video potential.
