And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.
8 It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
There comes a time, when we must not cast pearls before the swine. It is interesting that Jesus the Son of G_d our Lord and my Father the Master teacher should use such words as "pearls" and "swine"? No matter how much I study the Word of Jesus Christ in the Bible, Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, and D & C I still learn, and I believe life would be in vain if I were not understanding and loving offering equality as best I can as Christ Jesus taught and lived.
I get hit and approached all the time with critics asking me this and that;
some questions I have no answer, or only a particle answer, that is until I started watching your videos.
And one thing leads to another; more and more research, prayer, until I find the fullness of the answer.
It didn't take long to realize how thankful I really am for the critics. YOU ARE RIGHT, they ( the critcs) make us reach higher, dig deeper search harder until we find the answers.
Nauvoo Illinois is the place where i believe Joseph Smith lost his calling. He brought about polygamy which makes no sense with regards to his and other early Church leaders practice of marring other marring other mens wives causing those women to be polyandrous. Look at the life of Zina Huntington Jacobs Smith Young. All the information you will need can be found on Family Search.
I think God took him out cause he was out of control. How was Joseph and Brigham Young different from King Noah they all had wives and concubines and built large homes off of the backs of the people.
Uhhhh Nephi was righteous? What is your point Hive.
I don't remember Nephi practicing polygamy. If fact considering the book of Mormon contains the fullness of the Gospel it contains absolutely nothing on polygamy or homosexuality. Maybe the leaders of the Church have it wrong. It also says nothing about black people not holding the priesthood so maybe that is also a fallacy too
What is one of the key complaints of Laman and Lemuel against Nephi? What crime did he commit in there eyes to the end of exerting power and control over their group? I'm talking about the means which Laman and Lemuel claim Nephi used to establish himself as their ruler. What was the specific crime they saw in what Nephi did?
1 Ne. 16: 37 And Laman said unto Lemuel and also unto the sons of Ishmael: Behold, let us slay our father, and also our brother Nephi, who has taken it upon him to be our ruler and our teacher, who are his elder brethren.
Your comment really shows your lack of knowledge about the book of mormon. The prophet Jacob speaks about polygamy and actually condemns it. It amazes me how many people don't use the scientific method when approaching the book of mormon. Of course you have to get to the last chapter of the book of mormon to find the scientific method written by moroni in defense of the book of mormon (moroni 10:3-5).
I wouldn't say he lost his calling, rather I would say his calling was fulfilled. At one point, Joseph Smith wanted to find gold to advance the work of the church, the Lord called it "folly." Can you imagine what could have possibly happened if he had led the saints to Utah? The Lord called Brigham Young to do that, and he advised against going into the mountains to mine for precious metals. That always fascinated me.
Driving while not paying attention to the road hmm isnt that dangerous ? Why not top it off with a cellphone and ipod lol.

Why is that so hard?

riversideharp,
but what if some of those pearls cast, help bring someone to the truth?
as it did me, I was a swine and pearls were cast before me, and it did indeed help change my ways.
Remember, dear brother The letter of the law killeth but the spirit of the law giveth life.
If you remember Kerry said he was inspired to share this, and I for one know it gave me life!

Joseph Smith never lost his "calling." He may have been human - GASP! (GRIN!), but he never lost his calling.

How is Nephi (son of Lehi, brother to Laman and Lemuel) different from King Noah?

There's more. In fact Laman and Lemuel accused Nephi of exploiting and torturing their wives and women for his own pride and ambition.

Fullness of the Gospel, is not fullness of the description of all that is in it. This has been explained many times by other LDS scholars.

Joseph Smith broke the 10th commandment;
"Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife"
