I swear, all the 80-90's family sitcoms were exactly the same. And I loved them all. A funny thing, Full House and Family Matters theme song are all about what happened to the good old days. Man, if they only knew how cherished those times really were compared to 2011
one thing is for sure i have seen big part on tv and since 2 years i own all the dvd's but still i haven't seen any sitcom that good in all my life, i would love to see them again for a reunion episode or something like that but well i guess it will never be...
i watched this series a lot when it was coming over the telecast. for several years back then, i assumed that "mary kate ashley olsen" was the name of just 1 actress. it took me awhile to find out that it was a set of identical twins. i hope i'm not the only 1 who made that mistake. i hope someone writes to me and says that s/he made the same mistake i did. please, someone, tell me i'm not alone here.
@JerseyIsTheBest09 i preferred thinking it was just one girl. once i found out it was 2 girls, i tended to look more closely to see whether i could tell any differences between the girls in the scenes.
@coventrygardens i remember hearing somewhere that that was what they wanted you to think...they didnt want people to know that there were two girls playing the same part. i dont remember why though..lol
@Lexi12Lissy13 it's probably because some people ( such as myself ) like to know who is playing the character in each scene. it would be a bummer to sit there trying to guess who the actor in that scene is. furthermore, some people ( such as myself ) find the existence of identical twins to be a bit creepy. something's bizarre about it. you can guess what i think of identical triplets.
I think the late 80's through the 90's were the best times for life and tv. for one thing everybody wasnt freaking about social security and 9/11 had not happened yet so nobody cared about other countries. ahh i wish i was alive in those times cause i was born in 94 but i dont remember to much of the 90's
@wimpman94 i was born in '67, and i agree that the late '80's and the '90's were good for tv, but i think you're wrong about 9-11. even before 9-11, things were scary. there was the cold war, and there were airplanes getting bombed and hijacked. that was the period when the airplane got bombed and crashed in lockerbie, scotland. about 2 weeks after the crash, i flew from the u.s. to britain,& it was pretty scary flying at the time. i drove to lockerbie and looked around. it was a bad scene.
It brings back way too many memories and was such a huge part of my life. They should srsly have a channel with all the 90's shows they would make such a profit out of it. Honestly i dont think there will ever be shows like this and some of the shows today are complete garbage.
I seem to remember in one opening version the lyrics also including the phrase "Waiting just around the bend" before the chorus. Does anyone else remember this?
Wow who ever made this intro copilatios - Thank you! It was great to see all the theme intro for every season. I loved it.
I love Full house, I started watching this show since I was living in El Salvador about 14 years ago and I still watch and love this show. Now Im in California but I've never been to San Francisco, planning on going soon though.
Ahhh! I used to watch this like every day in second grade... :P I was obsessed with Uncle Jesse and would always tell people that I was going to marry him, even if he was 42 and I was only 7. My grandma would always have to tell me to shut up, that he was too old for me, and I would get like, really mad. Oh & I used to have dreams that I was on the show, and I would always say, "How Rude", "Pin a rose on your nose", "You got it dude," and tried to curl my hair like Stephanie's.
As far as I can remember, around seasons 3 and 4 (more or less) there were two versions of the opening credits.
One was longer - with full theme song and the other was the cut version. The reason for it was probably the fact that Lori Loughlin and Andrea Barber were only credited when they appeared in the episode.
Is it possible for you to confirm it and if so - upload also those versions ? Also, could you do the same thing with the closing credits ?
@Krievins Yes, season 3 did have a shorter version of the opening. There were actually four versions of the season 3 opening credits. The long version w/ Lori Loughlin, the long version without Lori Loughlin, the short version w/ Lori Loughlin, and the short version without Lori Loughlin. The long theme was only used in 6 episodes of season 3, the other 18 had the shorter version. But every episode of seasons 1, 2, 4 and 5 used the long.
@Krievins Season five used the same opening as season 4 for the first four episodes. From episode 5 on it used the regular season 5 theme with Andrea Barber. The reason i didnt upload the short version of season 3 was because when I had uploaded this youtube had a 10 min limit but now it has a 15 min limit, so I may add it to the vid soon.
This theme tune was stuck in my head all day.. love it!
