good video. i got diagnosed w/bipolar last year, but im an adult (22). i have most of the symptoms and usually the irritability is the most common issue w/me. but my meds are hopefully helping. i was also recently diagnosed w/ADHD. but im doing much better since ive been on medication so i hope sumday i can go off it
I'm a youth case manager and deal a lot with kids who have Bipolar. Someone in my clinic once said that if a child becomes angry or upset who has ADHD, not soon after, they will have moved on and wont carry the emotions for long. A child with Bipolar may become agitated and stay that way for long after.
I am a Marriage and Family Therapy student at Liberty University. I myself suffer from Bipolar disorder. I was not diagnosed until early adulthood, however; I know that I would be better off now had I been diagnosed earlier. It is all to common to label children with ADHD and not look into the symptoms deeper. Keep up the fantastic work.
