i don't see why there's so much arguing over this, its the studio audio dubbed over an actual live performance. if this was an actual live track, the solo and guitar parts would sound very different than the album version (which they don't) b/c john mayer played guitar on the studio recording and the guitarist in this vid is obviously not john mayer

I am a huge MB20 and RT fan...but this is not him singing live. This is absolutely the recorded version with the crowd put in. Rob DOES NOT lip sync! And he's not here either...he doesn't need to!!!! But this vid was made with the studio version dubbed over the live. You can tell that the vid is choppy visually too in that Rob is here and then there and then over there...it's not flowing right. Don't count this against Rob...it's just the way that this video was made....he NEVER lip syncs!!!!

The reason Rob sounds as good live as he does in the studio is because he is a real musician who knows how to match pitch so they don't have to electronically correct anything on his recordings. For a change, what you hear, live, is what you get. It's refreshing and this guy should be a super star.

I've seen him live with Matchbox 20 and he's awesome. But this isn't the live sound. It's exactly the same as the recorded version. See at the end when he waves the music continues? It's just the recorded track over the live visuals.

@Jawshooah let me break it down to you guys, it is the studio version dubbed with crowd shouting. if you look closely their were times that Rob is out of sync and he's been in different places and especially the end of the video were he waves goodbye instead of singing. Yeah, they did that because this is the official music video for the song and TRUST ME, i have a copy of this DVD and i know what is live when i hear it. :))
