@DarkCalisto Thank you very, very much. This was from my earlier years of AMV-making... I did put my all into it, but there's a lot that I wish I did better, or differently. Since then, I've gotten into the habit of making one AMV a year, and spending 100+ hours on each one. (200 for my last one) However, I'm glad that people still enjoy the video to this day. ... That aside, this is a really neat video - and I haven't even heard of that anime before (never mind seen it). Of course, this would have to be corrected as it really looks rather interesting :)

It's a really good series, and even though I'm not as much of an anime fan as I used to (there's occasionally a new series that I enjoy), it still holds a special place in my heart and is still my #1 favorite.

When I close my eyes I picture an Angel stuck on this world watching people around him die. Some jump from the bridge, others shot by the gun. He tries to help them, to put the question in the jumper's head, "Where will you go to when you fall?" and in the mind of the shooter, "What are you thinking?" but all he can do is be a prayer for the dying. Just being there, seeing the way people behave fills him with pain. In his words I feel so much. Voltaire said the song is about the Angel of Death.

My wife and I finally decided to watch Haibane Renmei a few days ago, finished it up last night. I really liked it, definitely one of the best character driven stories I've seen. Part of me wishes I had watched it sooner, but I don't think I'd have been able to appreciate character depth and emotional themes nearly as much as I do now.

She lives with group of other girls called Haibane, who also have no memories and don't know why they are there. I don't want to give away too much of the plot: it's a character driven story, and can seem cheesy and slice-of-life-y at times, but I definitely urge you to check it out.
