  • I WISH I WAS U!!!!! WAS IT HARD WORKING YOUR WAY TO BEING A PILOT

  • Any tips you can give me?

    Gracias!

  • Lucky you

  • Nice just keep going all best !

  • im 13 and i want to be a commercial airline pilot. i was thinking about trying to get my student soaring liscence, but then that would destroy my savings for my Sport pilots liscence. what would you recommend? since i have had no finacial means (other than my savings for my sport pilots liscense) i have built up 350 something hours on FSX and other flight simulators, will this help me further down the road? PM me please. thanks in advance, matthew

  • @TRAPBOULTERNAS

i have more than 200hrs of moto GP simulation on a pc...willl ths help me to become a moto GP champion???

    think before u ask anythng!

  • @kani9000 o your cool, because that is relevant. they actually use flight simulators to train pilots. moto GP is a video game.

research before you comment on anything!

  • that made me cry

  • it would be much better if they just made airplanes more affordable to everybody and made aviation more widespread. That is the future. one day there will be no need for airline pilots as much as everybody will have there own aircraft that cross the atlantic. there is even talk of installing refueling stations over the atlantic to overcome the fuel issues of smaller aircraft.

  • Congratulations man!!it my dream to Im still on the struggle but I promise I will nail it!!!

videos like this give me hope

    Cheers!!

  • Nice. Good luck and have fun.

  • Do u have ur CPL? Was all the training expensive ? and was it worth it ?

  • nice. But occuring to ur youtibe acc, says u r 35 yr old so isnt thats abit old become a Pilot

  • @leon6266 in short: NO. Very normal :-)

  • @fsclips Hi, I am 14 and have about 35 hours, What did you do for a living while training? And where are you now as in who do you fly for etc.?

  • @fsclips How much did it all cost you, if you don't mind?

  • @leon6266 not what so ever always chase your dream

  • @leon6266 cathay pacific is sponsoring age of 30+ people to become pilots with no flight hours what so ever.

i have heard this is mainly caused by training future captains who are mature and able to lead younger pilots

  • i am starting my journey with flight lessons...i am 13 and this is my dream

  • Hello My name is Sammy Venables I enjoy flying RC Planes alot and collecting models of aircrafts. Iam 13 and I want to be a airliner pilot for BA (NEVER RYAN AIR OR ANY MICKY MOUSE AIRLINES!!!!!!) and do you have any tips from theage I am to a dream come true?

  • Seneca very nice! I got my Commerical Multi in that lovely bird as well!

  • Im 16 now with around 19 or so hours and doing my solo in Late July!!

  • I love how the community gets together to help, Im 14 and I have flown gliders but im hoping to start working torwds powerd planes and eventualy comercal, any tips... What about collages?

  • How old are you?

  • im 13 and just got my 1st fam flight in a C152 :D

  • Great video, inspiring! I hope to be in your place sometime soon!

  • AWESOME VID! THE ENDING WAS PRETTY COOL :)

  • What airline? and if your going to work an regional airline..well....hunn ill be praying for you.

  • nice dream same as mine....

  • Congrats!

  • Do you have any tips for me?

I'm 13 and I've taken off the Piper Archer before!

  • @hamham500 Once you are old enough join your local flying club and work your way towards a PPL. If you ejoy it and if you feel it is something you want to take further see if you can get into one of the better flight schools that will turn you into a commercial pilot :-)

  • @fsclips

Right, I joined Air cadets as that is another thing to have which is good.

  • @fsclips whats PPL and im 17 and love to fly and im gonna try flight school this yr later and any tips u have to education and salary stuff please reply i need help thanks so much

  • @CenationHLR23 PPL = Private pilot licence, CPL = Commercial pilot licence, ATPL = Air transport pilot licence, Get into a flying club or school and see if you actually like flying and how you are doing, after that make a decision if you want to go commercial. Most of all...enjoy yourself and life above the clouds :-)

  • @fsclips thanks alot man helpful information im going for CPL

  • @hamham500 Was in your spot just a few years ago. As fs ,said if it's something you enjoy do it. I did my intro flight a couple of days before my 14th b-day and haven't looked back since. I have gone through the private pilot as well as the instrument syllabus. I got to solo on my 16th birthday , I have my private written, I have all flight requirements for my private as well as the solo crosscountry and done and hopefully get my instrument written done real soon. I turn 17 next month so I

  • @hamham500 I turn 17 next month and I finally get to take my actual flight test . So I'm prepping up for that. I have met some amazing people along the way, and have had some tremendous experiences that I will never forget ,cool thing is that, this is just the beginning. Go for it , flying has not only helped me get a head start with what I want to do with my life , but has really made me become the person I am today. So just go for it, stay involved , do as much as you can. Best wishes

    -Victor

  • @ccr26

Thanks ccr26 and fsclips! I really want to be a pilot now and I just can't wait!

  • @hamham500 I am 14 and already have 13 or so hours toward my PPL try to find a local flight school and go up an hour every once in a while Cessna 152s are thle cheapest at most places. You will probably be landing by your second lesson. Good Luck!

  • I wish I could have become a pilot.

However, I am lacking the funds to pay myself my pilot's license and my parents refuse to help me with it because they are scared I won't find a job later and that it would be a waste of money.

So I'm forced to satisfy myself with some computer studies...

I wish my family was more supportive...

  • congrats mate, i wish i was you :L I Would love to fly but i piss about at school too much

  • For what company do you fly now ?

  • Comment removed

  • Damn....You must be really happy...

  • To become an airliner have been my dream since about 1year and a half now...

  • hey bro

have you find now a job at an Airline ? PM?!

  • Nice one :) Still jobhunting?

  • what age did you start flying? goodluck to you and hope to see you on sky lol

  • we also have oxford school in Australia and it is great flying school

  • Very well done!! I'm right at the start with A-Levels at the minute... long road ahead :(

  • How many hours in the end?

  • @dalve00 I have about 300

  • @fsclips

    Can I buy flight hours?

  • @SWE370 No. You need to actually fly to gain hours. You can pay to do so.

  • @SWE370 Ha ha it's not a simple as that ;D Even if it was I'd still fly rather than buy

  • Greetings and good luck to fellow potential pilots

  • nice video stefan, i´ll hope i become an airliner pilot too, because im still in school.

are you flying for an real airline ?

  • Hey fsclips... I checked out oxford aviation academy, I wanted to know which course did you do from there ?

was it Ab Initio Cadet Programme (APP First Officer) ? ? ? ?

  • @invibaidi check your PM

  • Well, let me make my queries a little more specific...

I, currently live in Pakistan, and I want to start my flying school after upcoming august.

My final aim is to get an ATPL, but first, I will have to get CPL/IR and start my flying hours till I get a job in any good airline like PIA (first priority), etc...

Now could u guide me ?

  • @invibaidi well, you still have all the options I mentioned available. Find out the pricing of things and do some research. I did my training at the Oxford Aviation academy in the UK. have a look at their website. By the way if go for a JAA license you do not need to do CPL first. In Europe you can get an ATPL straight away.

  • @fsclips can you eloborate this?

  • @ERCuK elaborate on what??

  • @fsclips "By the way if go for a JAA license you do not need to do CPL first. In Europe you can get an ATPL straight away." sentence. I got my ppl in the states..

  • I want to become a pilot in an airline...

Like Qantas, Saudia Arabia, PIA, British Airways...

Can you tell me after my A-Levels, what am I supposed to do for getting into a position of a first officer/co-pilot ?

  • @invibaidi Like I said above. lots of options. It also depends on where you live and/or where you want to train and what kind of license you want (JAA or FAA). Best thing to do is to look at different flight schools and their pricing and what kind of license you would rather have. In Europe you would of course need a JAA in the US and some parts of Asia FAA. If there would be only one route I would tell you but there are loads and none of them are better or worse. It just depends on you really.

  • Hi, can you tell me the whole process of becoming a pilot?

I am 18 and currently doing A-levels. Can you tell me how do we become pilots?

The same thing is with me, becoming a pilot is my dream as well...

And as doodoobrown1987 said, ppl discourage.. nevermind..

Can you please tell me the whole process? What am I supposed to do further ?

    Please ?

    thanks!

  • @invibaidi There are lots of different ways to become a pilot. It all depends on what you want to do and what suits you best. you can go straight from school through an integrated course, you can join the military, you can gain flying experience first to see if you like it and do a PPL and join a modular course. you can gain experience and become a flight instructor before joining the airlines....etc. etc...it really depends on what you want to do and sadly, also a lot on what you can afford.

  • @invibaidi

Pass with Physics, chemistry and Maths with atleast marks of 50,You must have a better heath get a medical certificate.

  • im 23 this is my fream too, but everybody discourages me from doing it..

  • @doodoobrown1987 My advice...don't listen to them! When you are 45 or 50 and are the captain on a 777 or 787 you will laugh about these people. I also came across people that told me I was making a big mistake and that I would never succeed. Here I am, my ATPL in my bag and even though I am still waiting for my first airline job I don't regret a thing.

  • @doodoobrown1987 u can do it don't listen 2 people be go getter,no FEAR do u know hat fear stands 4?F forget

    E every thing

    A and

R run and,do it it 23 is still young!

  • @doodoobrown1987 alllieeee im 12 nd i always had and always will have a dream of being a ba pilot but every1 discourages me from learning errrrww i hate those type of ppl..

  • if you want to be a pilot!:) keep your dream alive always!!

  • OP wise what do you need? 1-10?

  • I like the spin in the end, nice touch.

    Happy flying :)

  • Great video, really inspiring. Oh, and the quote "A journey is best measured in friends rather than miles" by Tim Cahill. Does anyone know who Tim Cahill is...surely it isn't the socceroo Tim Cahill? :D

  • Do you require A-levels and GCSES to become an airline pilot also how long would it take if i started at 16

  • @bychance100 yes most airlines require that.

you cannot fly commercially until you are 18 and some airlines will not hire you until you are 21. It takes about 2-3 years to complete the training. Hope that helps.

  • I am 14 and my only dream since I was 10 is becoming a airline pilot.

  • congratulations

  • how much was your OAA course ???

  • So how long did it take you to become a Airline pilot?

  • is there a reason as to why you picked the 737 to get your MCC?

  • @rappinCheese It is the standard aircraft at our academy. You can also choose any Boeing (from 738 to 773) or Airbus (A320 series to A340 series). However they cost more. The 737-400 has a very nice mix of glass cockpit and manual gauges which is good for training. Also there is no computer helping you to handfly it. Most airlines use the 737 sims at their job interviews for their sim assesments for exactly that reason. So it is a good idea to get used to it.

  • @fsclips thanks for the reply. so is it a good idea to get a mcc for the 737? do airlines prefer a particular aircraft?

  • @rappinCheese Well certainly the likes of Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2, BMI and BA are all using 737s for their sim assesments. So it certainly helps if you are familiar with the type, especially since it is all raw data flying you will have to do to pass the assesment!

  • @fsclips what exactly do u mean by "raw data flying" ?

  • @rappinCheese You will be taught when you start flying complex aircraft. But in a very, very abbreviated version: No autothrust, no autopilot, no FD, you will have to learn all the pitch angles and power settings for each speed and flap setting and fly the plane as precise as possible with minimal fiddling in pitch and power settings, including a non-precission approach. There is a bit more to it, but you will be taught in the MCC where the whole first 4 hours are all done in raw data flying.

  • what song is this and my brother is a pilot :D

  • Hopefully i can go to embry riddle!

  • My i ask what quialifications have you got? And who did you train with? Im undergoing my PPL now, then trying too do some A-levels at university then joining an acdemy like OAA or CTC wings. thanks,

  • @ThomsonAirwaysFs Well, now I have an fATPL and MCC on 737 or did you mean before my training?

  • @fsclips I just wanted to really no what GCSE's and A levels you have. Like English or Maths. Because i have just recently started my PPL and hope to become an airline pilot. But im 15 and still at school. And i think this video is really good and youve done yourself really well.

  • @ThomsonAirwaysFs Well, generally it is a good idea to go with science subjects (maths, physics) and make sure your marks are not too bad. Having said that, each airline looks at these things differently and some care more than others.

  • @fsclips Ahh right cheers and great video (:

  • Im glad for you m8 ;)

  • Hows your training coming along mate?

  • @alex2mitch Training finished in December 2009. Got all my licences and ratings. So I guess it went well :-)

  • @fsclips Oh very nice well done ;) , Are you with an airline now?

  • @fsclips Nice going mate well done ! Do you work for an airline yet?

  • @alex2mitch no unfortunately. Not many companies hiring I'm afraid. Patience is the key :-)

  • @fsclips Unlucky, Don't just try the big airlines mate alot of the small ones are hiring flybe, Air southwest, Isles of Scilly Skybus, Aurigny Air Services ect. Good luck for future references :)

  • I got goosebumps!! :|

  • damn you got a hot wife, hahah congrats on achieving your dream, im 14 and this is what i want to do, any tips?

  • wow that stall must have been scary good luck

  • WE LOVE AVIATION!

  • CONGRATULATIONS!!!! i hope you enjoy your career!

  • Congrats on getting there. Just wondering what kind of maths and physics do u need when doing this.

  • @TheHayes993 u dont necessarily need it..well math cuz evry1 needs tht

  • man congradulations man its my dream all so an i will make it no matter what i love flying and i am only 13 years old .

  • join air cadets mate :) im 14, been in nearly 2 years, and ive been flying 4 times and gliding 3 times, as well as shooting and loads of other things ;)

  • Air Cadets is the way forward. What Sqn?

  • 111 Squadron (Sunderland) good chance of Lees Trophy this year, top 40 sqns

  • We got Morris :D

  • @ExportAli Air cadets gives you experience but in no way helps you become a pilot. That parts up to you ;)

  • Amazing video right here. Nice spin at the end also!

  • Way to go! This is my dream aswell. Im almost to my private pilot license (1 night trip and 5 more takeoffs and landings at night!)

If you have any tips that you think i should know about, please message me!

  • awesome job you are going to get :)

  • congratulations man! i am finishing up my

multi-engine rating right now. i cant wait to get to the point you're up to.

  • Awesome! ^^

Congratulations, i wish i cold reach this Dream to.. but my Eyes don't let me unfortunately,

    I have 3º of Myopia.

  • In what country do you live? In the US they have no limit on that and also in Europe they have recently changed all the rules. I believe it is now something like +/- 8 or something. If you are in Europe just call you aviation authorities and ask them. I have glasses too and the CAA was very nice about it all. They checked my eyes and told me I was good to fly.

  • I live on Brasil

I will Check again maybe in another School! XDD

I already got the Ranking of Commercial Pilot on Flight Simulator 2004

And If i can't Fly... i will Fly RC models them!

  • So, you took the modular course?

  • Yup! I already had 150 hrs before I started at Oxford, so integrated wouldn't have made any sense.

  • Congratulations on graduating from OAA! It's good to see you have fulfilled the dream.

I'm planning to do my flight training with Oxford in a couple of years. Also thanks for producing all your fsclips videos over the years, good luck in your career & looking forward to your next project!

  • Congratulations on getting the job

  • I envy you massively. I always wanted to be an airline pilot since I was a young boy but I didn't get the GSCEs I needed at school. My Maths is awful and I had to let go of the dream. Well done.

  • You can Always redo GCSE's.

  • My congratulations that you made it! I am sure that it is a great feeling to hold the certificate in your hands. i hope that you enjoy being a pilot and i really am looking forward to your next FS video projects if there will be...

    once again: congratulations!

  • your so lucky..id do anything to be a pilot after high school. but these days the only pilots getting hired are ex-military pilots..its a dream crusher

  • Congratulations!!

    i have the same dream

  • congratulations Stefan you dream hascome true :)

  • congrats im still on tthe ppl but i will get there

  • Do you have to be really smart to get trained at oxford like what are the requirments if u do your school in canada lets say :D 'cause i got some problems with math and phyisics are they easy in aviation or hard:D ..is the course expensieve? thnks:D

  • unfortunately maths and physisc are huge in aviation. durimg the groundschool you will have to use a lot of both subjects. especially mental arythmics become important when doing the IR. But these things can be trained and have not much to do with intelligence.

the courses at the good schools are quite expensive. you can contact them and ask for a pricelist

  • congratulations i am next!!

  • damn me being so crap at maths! really want to be a pilot, but i dont think i can get the grades :(, physics makes sense to me, but i just never get the maths side right, when training/being a pilot are the calculations tricky? or are there just lots of them?

  • You don't need high-level maths. English and basic maths is all you need. All of the calculations needed in pilotage are silly rules of thumbs, fractions and ratio rules. The worst you might get is one little sine or cosine in navigation. So, school success is not really related to an ability to become a pilot. If you have the will and are commited to pass the requirements, no math or physics can stop you. I should know. I'm on my way there. Good luck. :)

  • thanks, and good luck to you in your career!!

  • Hi there...agreed with the above. I am useless at maths. If I can pass through the JAA ATPL exams, then so can you!

  • @fsclips lol, cheers

  • really nice!

I want to become a commercial airline pilot later on also at Oxford aviation academy. How did you liked it?

btw, did you do all your flying at Oxford itself or also in Arizona?

  • I think it is a very good school that offers professional training.

You will have to do all your flying in Arizona apart from the IR if you are with OAA. They have stopped flying in the UK because of the busy airspace and the weather.

  • good on ya mate, maybe that''l be me some day

  • Congrats! So pilots CAN wear glasses? Because I wear glasses and thought people who do wear them are more of a liability as a pilot?

  • Yes they can. But you need to do some very extensive tests before they allow you to do so. There are very different rules between differet countries. generally the europeans tend to be rather strict whilst the US is a lot more relaxed when it comes to glasses or contacts

  • if you have lazer eye surgery, will it be ok?

  • Depends on the country you are in. I believe in the US it is fine. In Europe they are slowly allowing it but be carefull, some airlines will not take people that have had eye surgery. Get all the info first before you do anything. You might not need it to fly

  • ok- thanks:)

  • Nice job! Congratulations.

  • congraulations m8

  • Waouh!!! I'm so happy for you!!! CONGRATULATION!!! I want also be a pilot later and I know that the way will be difficult but I will success!!! I began to learn the theoretic and the practice for PPL license last year and I will have my exams in January!!! I'm only 16 and I live in Switzerland!!!!

  • at 0.35 is that a oil pipeline or a bridge? One long bridge if it is!

  • It is a long road bridge connecting an island with the mainland

  • im 14 and want to become a commercial pilot

  • you're a lucky guy! for sure! enjoy it man!

  • congrats

  • Thats a great accomplishment Congratulations. I Myself would like to become an airline pilot..i wish to go to Embry riddle in Daytona Beach in the Future Im currently a 10th Grader and im 15

  • Congrats Stefan, Great to see you've made it! Hope to see u pilotting one of my flights in the future ;).

  • A very Hearty congratulations from me! :)

I wish you the best of luck for the future!

    Great video too x

  • Amazing there goes another pilot in our shared skies i wish u happy flights and i have always loved ur videos. i am 13 and i hope to become an airline piolot just like you...

  • Congrads im happy for you hope to see you in a 747 next :P

  • Congratulations, and great vid, really enjoyed it!

  • Congrats. my dream too.

  • Congratulations! It's my dream to become a pilot, but I can't.

Was that last snippet a video of you trying to recover out of a stall?

  • Actually it is a spin. The instructor puts the aircraft into a spin and you then have to recover. Something they do in Canada, but not in the UK...sadly. It was a good lesson I thought.
