  • What MOST interesting is that how a 60 min battle and a 30 min OT battle airs for the same amount of time.

  • it just occured to me u could be from a caucasianised nation.. if u were referring to panda express or such americanised chinese stalls' fried rice dishes as 'chinese fried rice'..

    then.. lol.

    that isn't chinese food.

  • i'm in the usa. chinese take out is of course not real chinese food. There is a real difference that i've noticed in fried rice between a nicer sit-down chinese restaurant and a japanese hibachi restaurant i like to go to.

  • nobody really eats fried rice in a restaurant other than when specific cravings strike.

    fried rice is more of a way to recycle overnight rice, to turn that hardness in texture into part of the dish

    and anyway, whatever restaurant is present in america isn't very chinese either. everytime i'm in an american chinese restaurant, the first thing we get as fellow chinese is the ALTERNATE MENU and a tiny 'p.s. chinese' on the order chit

    so.. no. i find it hard to believe you ate authentic fare

    the price also changes with native menu too :P

  • Japanese fried rice...YUM! It's so much better than chinese. Light tasting not greasy at all.

  • it's a dish with a million different methods of cooking. there's no difference between chinese or japanese fried rice, it's the chef that matters, the ability to throw out flavour and caramelisation without excessive use of oil.

    get it ordered in a top notch chinese restaurant and u'll see what i mean. not everyone cooks like the chefs in common roadside stalls, abusing oil like so. and i believe japanese roadside stalls have the same faults too.

    it's the chef, not the ethnicity/cuisine
