  • A little bit of "Serenade for the Doll" mixed in... But it really evokes the more experimental piano works...

  • There is a hint of the Ravelian here, but also of Debussy. A beautiful and eminently accessible piece of music.

  • Busoni always reminds me more of Ravel than Debussy; the music never quite goes where you expect it to. There is almost a sense of humour in the deliberate way he misleads you.

This is the best performance I have heard in years, you really capture the deadly insouciance of this piece.

  • Wow, I never knew much about Busoni as a composer but I have a lot of respect for him after hearing this and I've done more research. This is indeed a lot like Debussy - interesting that Busoni himself was also so interested in Bach's music - he really sought to bring together two different aesthetics. In some ways it reminds me of Liszt's later works. Mysterious, in some ways minimal, and always elegant. Great performance and thanks for posting!

  • Great Piece! and I like very much your interpretation of Busoni's music. I've been interested in Busoni's compositions and I've played some of his works. I also have been searching for his Nuit De Noel

but I haven't found it yet........I would like to play it some day..........any way...........

    Congratulations for this performance!!

  • Great as your CD!!
