The car is even prettier than the original. However, I agree the side-vents don't fit it. I have a 2004 FX35 that I got new for $42K. I has been a great car. Now, a comparable 2011 FX would cost me around $52K. Too much of a change in price. That combined with the smaller interior are turning me away from the car.

I agree the chrome side-vents don't fit in. Otherwise I think it is prettier. I have a 2004 FX35 that I got new. It has been a really nice car (except for mileage). It's is time for a new vehicle; but, the increase in price and smaller interior have driven me away. Mine was $42K to get a comparable 2011 FX I'd have to pay closer to $52K! I just cannot afford that.

I am a high school teacher at a private school where every rich kid drives a BMW or pimped out car. However, my 1999 Ford Explorer has 190,000 miles on it and since 2005 I saved money. I drive the liquid platinum 2009 FX35 I bought last year. This "vehicle" is for people with taste and desire to think outside the box and 300 horses lets me get the hell out the box fast and my students give me an A+ for taste, but I always wanted an infiniti FX35 and now I own one and I F------ LOVE IT!

It looks great in flesh. Agree its odd looking but uniqueness is its appeal. While other SUVs in its range maybe a combo of offroaders and family casr,, this is a sportscars married to SUV.

it's so odd looking that it looks great lol. I really like Infiniti, they take chances with styling but it always looks great.

I like the new Fx except for the ugly front headlights. The Ex 35 has a better front grill.

This car is beautiful, In my opinion this car is further then superior. It is just one beautiful looking crossover.And if i might say the car looks a bit like the Maserati Grand turismo a little by its Fish bass mouth grill and the uprising curves on the hood that the Maserati also has. However this car got its looks from the Infiniti Essence concept though. The car will diffently do well against its competitors such as the Range rover, Mercedes, BMW Crossovers, this vehicle tops out to $72,000.

very nice and the fx50 is fast too. 0-60 in 5 seconds? pretty impressive. i think infiniti does a great job with their cars for the price. test drove a g37 today and loved it. infiniti is a great company.

The side vents is not just for design only. If KBB actually done more homework, the side vents reduce down force and pressure build up in the engine for better performance. They mentioned this in other reviews from theautochannel, roadflytv, etc.

Am planning getting the luxury package, with rear seat entertainment. All wrapped up in a shiny glossy black exterior, this color in the review is ugly.
