Yes, no wifi drivers. Buy a $12 wifi card, Dell 1390 on ebay. The OSX detects it as airport, no drivers needed. I did that and works great for just 12 bucks.

I wrote this on some previous comments, the easiest way is that You put the connectors from Your PCs DVD to IDE external disk housing and just plug it in to the USB.

Not true,... At the time of the recording You would have to replace wifi card with another one (see older posts) but now there is also a solution for the original one.

There are atheros drivers, but its really unreliable. I hear most people saying it works great for a few days, then refuses to work, then works again ect. A replacement is the way to go.

Sorry for my bad understanding of probably "Czech" language,... after bios press F12 to get the boot options. For installation use special pre-paced iso for the time being the iAtkos 5i is most recent one. You can also try iDeneb or Kalyway.

btw If you have a desktop with a DVD drive, you can buy a USB to IDE or SATA cable. That way you can connect the IDE or SATA to the dvd drive and the Aspire one, power on your desktop and the DVD drive will show up in the Apire One's BIOS.

You can expect about 5 hours if hacking before it will all work. As I mentioned before this comp has only one core in his processor, so if You want to get it running first You have to tell the system it is not core duo otherwise it won't boot (2:43) add cpus=1

To get in in the first place you should during Darwin boot type "cpus=1", otherwise it will loop, then open in temnimal /Library/Preferences/SystemCon­figuration/com.apple.Boot.plis­t and put it in as shown in a video.

HOW TO MAKE A DVD DRIVE:

Ok,... here is a described trick how I made a DVD drive.

You can install OS X from usb drive, bud it is quite complicated restoring it and making bios boot from it. here is much easier way.

I used external disk casing with IDE slots and simply unplugged the HD in in it. I also unplugged DVD from comp and put the data cable in external disc casing, then I connected external disc to Aspire and used PCs DVD for reading, All the power cables You should leave connected.

If You installed 10.5.5. and want do update it with apples software update to 10.5.6., be very carful and first backup /System/Library/Extensions/sea­tbelt.kext /System/Library/PreferencePane­s/Keyboard.prefPane /System/Library/Extensions/Sys­tem.kext and after update put them on the same spot. Bit still You will have to hack one more time as of 10.5.5: AppleIntelGMA950.kext AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffe­r.kext HDAEnabler.kext Natit.kext PowerManagement ALC 268 AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext

If I understand correctly You have the restart problem. This is because AAO has 1 core CPU. You should open the terminal and redefine it so it should know it is just one core processor.
