I've learnt more tonight watching this i have from any other video series. Thank you, not only for your teaching but for your tips that only experience can provide.
Excellent series. I have just watched them all back to back and there's a lot of great information there. I will doubtless dip in and out of them in times to come. Thanks Ken for this great resource
That's so true, catching smiles in good sequence. The second one will be the smile. The way he generously flows through his lessons carries alot of warmth.
Thank you very much. I will need to watch these a few times more as the is lots to remember. Very informative and funny at times. I have learnt loads from this already. I would like to go from my two 600w head set-up to a three head setup. What would you advise a 300w another 600w or a 1000w for portrait work and to be most flexible, as i learn more and as time goes by?
Mr. Henderson, Thank you for sharing your tips, techniques, and wisdom. I found it entertaining and informative. While I don't do portraiture per se, Much of this applies well to video work as well.
I knew nothing about lighting until I viewed this series. Mr Henderson is very knowledgeable, and very kind to SHARE his expertise. May God bless him.
My best advice: Watch again the 8 videos until you memorize all. Repeat watching until you dream with this Guy. In video 7 when he said pointing the light-meter towards the light... I have to test. Every light-meter manual says point to the lens.
Thanks for the great advice ftrbazo(!) We look forward to the results of your light meter tests, then we'll know whether Mr. Henderson or your manual is correct.
You point the light meter to the camera and towards the light. It all depends on what you want. If you are looking to set light ratios, you point them towards the light itself. That way you can easily determine a 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, etc, light ratio. If you want to determine what aperature to use, you point the meter toward the camera.
First of all I would like to thank Mr. Henderson for letting us view his session on Studio Lighting, the session has been really helpful especially for beginners like me. I really learnt a lot and am planning to apply his rules.
Second thanks go to the person who captured everything, I felt that am sitting in the front seat. I would also like to thank dav1eb for sharing this in here.
