You are dancing around the issue, but yes, this study does work to discredit Gould's anti-racist ideology, by demonstrating that Gould is not to be trusted when he talks about race and racism.
This has always been fairly obvious to people who bothered to read Gould critically, but seeing Gould discredited in such a specific way will help make this clear to people who are otherwise unwilling to believe anything bad about Gould, because they are sympathetic to his position on race.
