  • Man the female is bigger than the male...or one of them is undergrown or the other is overgrown. I dunno, how big can they get? I'm having a tough time figuring it out, seeing you're a tad little, no offence.

  • @supereldinho female is 17 cm and male is 10 cm and yeah, no offense taken.

  • I'm trying to get some Heteropteryx dilatata for my bug collection just want to know what you feed yours and aren't they aggressive as adults?

  • Do you catch these in the wild, or do you purchase them from somewhere? I'm rather interested in insects myself, and would like to know.

  • Wow, these videos are really really really informative, whether anyone sees it or not..i do. I would really like to start caring for some of these species and different kinds of insects- mostly observing their habits and whatnot. You should do a video on your habitats for them, ( an in depth video :D )

  • i am really afraid of giant bugs like this, but your videos are soooo intriguing!!!

  • great video and unique amazing pets.

  • Proof that we're still Mother Nature's biatch lol Srsly those insects of yours are HUGE; I'd be running for the hills.

  • Wow the male is actually kinda cute. The females giant moving abdomen is kinda creepy though LOL

  • omg

  • So's ur faec

  • I wouldn't want dat as a pet..I'd scare the shit out of my self with that thing

  • the girl one is cuter

  • May I ask..How many insects to pet?...do u also pet a cockroach?...No offense man

  • think of waking up with that thing on you.I would jump out the freaking window.

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • i like these they're kinda cool.

  • absolutely disgusting

  • @avalonangling So's ur faec

  • @avalonangling So's ur faec

  • @avalonangling So's ur faec

  • @avalonangling So's ur faec

  • @avalonangling So's ur faec

  • @avalonangling and what makes any creature disgusting ignorant cunt

  • @avalonangling HE GOTCHA THERE

  • yea we got alot of these in indonesia. theyre like cockroaches but most doesnt gets big enough to be like this, either preyed on by tree shrews or by civet cats (here we dont have stray cats runnin around in town, we have civets)

  • MAKE THEM MATE AND THEY WIL HAVE CUTE LITTLE BABY"S!!!

    :D

  • where can you find them

  • he's cute! ;)

  • kill this with fire

  • your female was like "stop moving your damn hands around, I wanna just stand here!"

but this little fella is all, "climbing, climbing, I wanna do some climbing!"

    lol

  • his name is larry

  • @KennyD0gg i like it and i liked it lol

  • Are the females generally larger than the males?

  • @ameyxo Oddly insect kingdom is all mostly femdom.

  • @kensaya

Because they copulate the males into exhaustion and then devour them.

    .

  • @RenacuajoCuleao The more you know :D

  • DO THEY BITE?

     [MALE OR FEMALE]

  • @brittany17lyons No they dont bite or sting at all :)

  • Wow they really are spectacular aern't they. Thanks for the info. I remember Urckle had one on that sitcom I can't remember the name of the show. You have some very fine looking pets there. Most impressive.

  • The female actually looks to be more of a leafbug and the male version a stickbug. I never saw a complete discription of where you got them. Aren't they from the Amazon or were they in a rainforsted area in America? If domesticated I know you can grow them very large. Fasinating collection you have.

  • @widdybear77 Yeah the male and female look very different. Hence it took various years for biologists to recognise them as the same species(same goes for E. Tiaratum). They are from Malaysia actually. But I got them from a zoo myself. I think they can grow large regardless of wild or in captivity.

  • @gallan30 How do you get insects to keep as pets from zoos??

Also, I'm really enjoying your videos. How big is your collection/where did you get all these charming creatures? So cool.

  • How old is he.

  • I am curious if an insect of this size has any kind of "personality" or "intelligence." I know that even pet mice have different personalities and are certainly intelligent in their out mouse-like way. Buy what about large insects like this?

  • @prajnasword The only things I noticed with these insects is that some a more defensive or skittish than others. Like one will fly away upon getting touched while the other Won't even move.

  • @prajnasword it would be awesome if they did have personality. i would want one as a pet if so. i dont even like bugs but theres something about gentle giants thats attactive

  • your female is bigger i love bugs

  • If someone was truly afraid of insects (a phobia), then I would think the first instinct when in a room with one is to run away, not run towards it and stomp it.

  • Gorgeous insect. A little scary, but still... What do they eat?

  • I am feeling both frightened and intrigued. That is a really big bug, which is terrifying, yet the bug itself is also cute.

  • Thats a huge bug!

  • Were do you get these huge bugs?!?

  • yes people. I am a an asshole to anyone being an asshole towards me or mah pets. Saying to stomp my bugs is is very much the same as me saying I would stomp your cat or dog or horse or whatever you keep. I don't do that shit So is it wrong to expect some kind sympathy even from people who do not like bugs?

  • @gallan30 How long do they live? can you get him to fly for us?

  • @gallan30 thanks for your comment and video! dont ever forget how special the precious little friends we have are. i still think/dream about my pet mice that i used to breed and the memories i have of them and my other lost pets make me a strong person even today. people always say "it was just a mouse! come on!" when they see me putting flowers on the graves years later, i even lost friends over having to take care of my animals all night every night etc.. but they really are important to me..

  • @gallan30 if you have the same connection with your animals, dont let that change. ever. no matter what people say to you. most of the best friends ive had in my life were animals. they didnt betray or turn their backs on me and i held them as they were born and died. its truly a rewarding experience caring for animals. i have no regrets and neither should you. ignore these losers who would just as soon microwave a cat for hissing or their own child for crying than smash a bug for fun....

  • Wow, i like how he reaches for your other hand :)

  • Wow, people are douches. Weird because you keep a neat pet? Yeah, okay.

Either way, these things are absolutely awesome. Are they hard to keep around?

  • weird kid

  • I mean all these giant insects are absolutely gorgeous, and I'm trying to force my mind realize this rather than "Look at all of those legs... so many legs... so fast... so cunning... it's going to steal my blood at night."

  • I'm okay handling these things until it starts climbing up my friggin arm and into my shirt. Then I freak out.

  • I hate bugs that are too big and have long spindly legs and giant abdomens... doesn't matter if it's trying to bite me or not, I will STOMP on that ugly thing

  • @Impess99 ATTENTION VIEWERS: here we see A typical ignorant Homo sapiens Typing out its natural kind of sounds, Which is called 'Talking shit'. They feed on Burger king and They live with many of the same kind in large group called an 'unthinking majority' And they are constantly harassing anyone with more than 100 braincells. This is the only pest found on planet earth and the best way to exterminate them Is by Taking the head off. Do planet Earth and humanity a favor and kill on sight.

  • @gallan30 lol You're a pisser kid. Lots of balls & intelligence.A future Biologist if i ever saw one. Take the head off?

I'll remember that. Good luck with your creatures.

  • @gallan30 Thank you for calling him/her out I own a praying mantis and people say that to me constantly.

  • @gallan30 You never know, maybe they have a fear of insects. Fear can make you do some crazy shit. No need to be such a asshole about it.

  • @tmanuel44 No. tbh its the media giving insects a bad name and people ignorance. few people actually have a deep lying phobia for them and if they do they should get help. And for the most part the 21st century completely cut itself off from nature, Making anything that doesn't look like a familiar fluffy pet something hideous in their eyes.. so basically almost all non mammal and birds, even though there's hated species in those groups too(bats, coyotes, crows, pigeons etc).

  • @gallan30 Sorry, I kind of agree. You'll get a lot of thumbs up from other bug lovers~ but people do have a natural fear of large bugs. Small ones too~ it's an instinctual thing. You may not live in a place that has poisonous bugs everywhere, but try living in Venezuela or Argentina sometime like many in my family. People aren't "burger king" eating ignorant individuals just because they have a fear of insects. Many animals would react the exact same way if such a thing was crawling on them.

  • @strikerk I never said anything about actual fear insects, I was moreso talking about the people Who live in an environment like me who have a media influenced hatred for bugs, and would just stomp it without thinking. People can fear insects but I know of arachnophobes who admire spiders from a safe distance. Not stomp them when they see them.

  • @gallan30 i'm just gonna throw this out there. You are my hero. I share a love for bugs and creeepy crawly critters as well. Do more of these :D Get more buggies!

  • @gallan30 lmao too funny

  • @Impess99 What is your problem? Do you have a tounge diesese that spouts out nonsense? If you do I am sorry to hear, and I will give you a ballon.

  • @Impess99 amen

  • so you're saying a zoo just decided to give you a couple heteroperyx's for free.... can i have the name of the zoo, I'd love to have my own dolphine in my fish tank

  • where are you getting these things from, seriously? is your backyard a fucking rainforest???

  • @NinjaaTunaa

He got it from the zoo. In the description for handeling a heteropteryx female. The zoo had too much so they gave him. It would be cool if you just found it in your backyard.

  • The female and male look so different!

  • @Juicedrinkz yeah the female is bigger than the male and the male is black and the female is green

  • GEEZUS

  • its a stick insect.it only eats leaves.it uses chemicals when threatened for self defence!

many people think that just because a bug looks dangerous doesnt mean it is!

ive seen a zebra jumping spider and ive handled it before!

people who are interested in bugs should know about more before they fuuking kill them!

    thats what most people do!

they see a bug and then they kill it!

they dont even care about other lives just thenselves!!!

people who say that they will bite are stupid and sh*ty!

  • @lekovic199 Wow, wanna have a threesome with a bug? :)

  • @runescaper128 dont f*ck with me you stupid sh*t

  • @lekovic199 im a snake guy and i go through the same thing with snakes. well ppl dont kill snakes they run for their lives lol. but i know how ignorant ppl can be with animals they dont understand or even want to understand. my father hates my snakes even though he's handles them and sees they're nothing like what their reputations says. im afraid of insects. im usually afraid of insects that are harmless lol. like grass hoppers, stick bugs, praying mantis lol. im willing to change that though.

  • @drepop803 preying mantises are actually carnivorious that means that they eat meat lol

they will scratch you with their spikes and sometimes even bite you and it will hurt... or even bleed lol

    i still like them thought

  • @lekovic199 well yeah i know but ive never heard of a praying mantis that seriously hurt someone or killed. so thats why i said harmless. but yeah technically harmless would be grasshoppers, sticks, etc. my friend had a pet mantis that ate flies and crickets so yeah i know they're carnivorious lol.

  • @drepop803 I'm sure you will earn to love insects as I have. I used to be phobic of insects but handling them with care and learning to respect insects I have come to love them. Awesome insects you have there buddy.

  • i like the girl one better :3

    that makes me wanna say:

    DAME NATURE YOU SCARY.

    the girl ones cuuute :D

  • have you ever been bitten by one of your pets?

  • dude, this kid is unphaseable

  • THE FEMALE VERSION ONLY GOT MORE VIEWS BECAUSE SHE HAS TITS

  • is it crunchy

  • sooooooooooooooo

  • Where the fuck do you live i would shit myself if that was in my backyard

  • 2 questions

    1) can those fly?

    2) through what website/place do you purchase them (cause i doubt they are US native)

  • the males seem to be more playful

  • That is so gnarly, the female is gnarlier just like with humans!

  • @79agp replied for truth.

  • woot female is much bigger

  • This is sooooo cool.. where did you get it?

  • What the.......are you doing with that thing???

  • Please kill it...

  • you have a lot of bugs!

  • Lol same here my mom freaks out when a crickets loose in the house...

  • @krissyr08 heh.. imagen 200 crickets. True story D:

  • @gallan30 Haha i feed crickets to my beardie and trust me, she's not pleased.

  • @gallan30 Bet thats noisey as HELL at night xD

  • either your a very small person.... or that bug is HUGE!

  • you are a crazy master with bugs

  • haha wow so cool...i kinda figured the male would be such smaller...they usually are for insects right.

  • My mom would have freaked out if I had these types of pets when I was kid...lol

  • noooo! que cagaso! tenes que estar re loco para tener esa cosa en tu casa

  • O_O wtf?

  • what is your malfunction kid?

  • Where did you get these and how much did they cost? Also... any breeding tips?

  • Subhan allah

  • @Desmodus96 How can say that after all those years?? </3

  • @Desmodus96 dude, he said he was male ...

  • @bipinformprotect Lol don't mind desmodus there, he's just trying a fail attempt on trolling me which fails hard :P Hence my replies to him.

  • @Desmodus96 What seems to be the officer, problem??

  • @Desmodus96 that says a lot from a 12 year old nigglet from the ghetto of London :D niggerniggernigger umad brah?

  • ah... he is cute , he likes to play/run around with you 8D . ( edit ) dont run to hard there is chance to squish it accedently x_x

  • is male smaller than female?

  • That was a small sized male :O

  • @NilsenPhotography Yeah, that's a typical thing found in bugs: males small, females big in contrast to the other way around for most animals.

  • hes male because boys like bugs : unless hes scared of bugs

  • do the males bite

  • oh thats aaawwwwwweeeeesoooommmeeeeee.

  • WOW, he's so different from the female. They are both awesome tho.

I love the female best :)

Thanks for sharing these wonders :)

  • hm small

  • hmm .. Are you male or female ???

  • where do you get these things?

  • in birds its often strange to see the females with more color, but in the insect world it seems more common for the female to be larger and have more vivid coloration. the male is beautiful none the less.

  • GET A LEASH AND TAKE FOR A WALK

  • wow, that's a lot of gender dimorphism.

  • Very different than the female. I think it looks alot nicer too, female looks alot more muscular or bulky or something.

  • Comment removed

  • i got a Extatosoma tiaratum myself. but they jsut dont move much:P(and NO they are not dead:P) They jsut move 30minuts a day.... and why does all the rest of the Extatosoma tiaratum moves ALOT at other people.

  • lmao u no an insect is big when u can pet it... -.-

wat the heck do u feed these things...? BIRDS?!

  • @5ale9 xD

  • So beautiful no matter what others say :)

  • this kid needs a dog.. playing with theese monsters....damn

  • @aifodasse

    they are not monsters

  • @15firekid i will make a turd to you and then you will say if it aint a monster .

  • damn, where is my insect spray??????

  • homie, so the female is bigger thanthe male??

  • dont those scare u? well yr brave is all i can say

  • Why don't they bite? I mean, it's huge, and it could probably bite a finger off, would it if you frightened it?

  • @DarkRubySage

Well, if you think about it, dogs are bigger and defiantly able to take a finger off, yet they are (usually) friendly.

  • Oh my god I could not live with you.

  • Once you get over the fact that it isn't coming for you, it's actually really beautiful. Notice those delicate patterns on its back

  • im wondering is it some type of pray mantis and if so that explains why the female is bigger than the male

  • lol i think its funny haw small the males are compared to the female. :D

  • Do these things bite, or are they harmless ?

  • Ah, now i can tell if it is male or female.. the female is larger. the male is smaller correct? anyway, thanks for your vids.. they made me understand if i encounter a heteroperyx i can tell if its male or female now.. thanks :)

  • I really like these insects. Do you breed them please?

    mrbluenun

  • Its very beautiful.

  • DAMN IF I SEE SOMETHIN LIKE THIS I'LL KILL IT BEFORE IT GETS NEAR ME 10 YARDS ANT THROW AN BIG ROCK TO BE SHUTE THAT IS DEAD

  • smaller than a female

  • Throw a pokeball at it!!

  • quick, kill it!

  • I bet they would be pretty tasty if we roast one and put some BBQ sauce on it

  • I like how everyone gets mixed up with genders/sex's haha there are amazing insects thanks for the video :)

  • that's pretty cool kid.

  • i think this guy will hold anything =p

  • are these things naturally agressive towards humans or are they like tarantula spiders - if you scare them or hurt them, they hurt you back.

  • It's SO cool!!! I want one! T_T

  • how old r u

  • can these fly? because im getting one and it would be quite cool if it could fly?

  • that is pretty tight. how did you get them again?
