  • Wow, this is really cool, would you mind going more in depth about how it's made, like the settings, or how everything is connected? that would be greatly appreciated,

    Cheers, Kai

  • As I said before, SVG2Phun works with Illustrator and Inkscape. The only thing that is important here is that the file is a properly formatted SVG. Although there are bugs in SVG2Phun that I have noticed, it shouldn't matter what editor you use, so long as the file is proper.

  • Well, you dont have to do that complicated thing anymore. In the V 5.28, there is a Gear Tool.

  • I know this, but at the time there was no such tool. I still prefer to use Inkscape, though, since it allows you to make very precise objects, good for making precision machinery. It's a lot easier than doing it inside of Phun, but if you aren't as concerned about detail Phun works fine.

  • how can i make gears ruxias?

  • Use Inkscape to draw the gear, then SVG2Phun to bring it into Phun.

  • how do i get gears from gear creator in my phun world thingy - were i build stuff - i cant find it out i tryed to add it and stamp it but i cant find out how to get it to my phunworld

  • can you please send a message to my youtube acc how the svg2 works

  • It would be much easier for the both of us if you took the time to read the provided instructions like a normal person would.

  • how do you make perfect gears like that theres no tool for them and when i "attempt" to hand draw one it either ends up looking like a triangle or it just plain sucks

  • The way I made these is by using a tool called "SVG2Phun". It takes an SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file and turns it into a Phun scene file, and you can make hinges and the like by using the rules listed in the documentation. To make the scenes in SVG, I would recommend using Inkscape, which is what I use, but you can use Illustrator if you prefer. Both of these tools I use are entirely free, by the way.

  • You said 3 tools - Illustrator, SVG2Phun and Inkscape :). Illustrator is not free.

    BTW, good work...

  • The two tools I use are free (SVG2Phun and Inkscape). I don't like Illustrator anyway, but some people prefer it.

  • Yeah, those who have it ^^ :D.

Anyway, I was just kidding, so don´t be so serious :).

Hm... What´s the name of that music?

  • nice (cool idea of invisiblizing the hinges =D

  • Eh, it's not fake, if that's what you're saying. There are no motorized hinges involved. If you look at the statistics in the lower-left, the engine slowly gains angular velocity, unlike what a motor would do. A small amount of angular velocity is "scrapped" off by the dark pegs using a very low amount of friction. Simple.

  • cool i like it :)
