Damn, Matt Furniss is talented! One of the best game music composers to come out of the UK! And he knows how to scare kids with his music too! For example the music he did for Goro's Lair in Mortal Kombat used to give me nightmares when I was a kid, and there was certain music in this game that scared me a bit too back then.

@WarOfSalvation there were twelve in Alien 4 (Resurrection) but i laughed when i seen how many aliens were in this game, however it'd be a bit pointless running from the same alien the entire game

I haven't seen Resurrection in a very long time, and I guess I just forgot about most of it, and fixed the blanks with the first? :P Actually, you probably could manage to make it one alien in a game, but it'd have to be for a waaay more complex console then this. It'd have to be a greater storyline, etc. etc.

if only the film was an all out shoot the shit out of everything that moved and then shoot it some more. I was well addicted to this game..in fact i'm gonna get it emulated on my pc.

I had the genesis version. DIdn't think much it, you basically go around shooting aliens...

...oh, and the ending was definently different probably because they didn't decide the ending to Alien 3 until the last moment.

The music from this game is one of the best game soundtracks in my opinion. The gameplay itself is also very good and it can measure it with ease with top games in it's genre. I still play this game on my genesis very often! I can't wait to play the upcoming Aliens:Colonial Marines game and have the music from this game as custom background music!

This is a good soundtrack but very far from the movie inspired SNES tracks.

Level 4 is as close to an alien music as it gets, very nice.

It's because Alien³ for the Genesis is a Action game, while the SNES port is a Action/Adventure, so the gameplay intermediaries on the SNES allowed it to have a more movie-oriented score. The Genesis version everytime bombards you with Aliens and Facehuggers, Chestbursters, the time limit, etc. It needs a fast-paced music, IMO.

But it's great nevertheless, it was one of my childhood games :)

The Stage 4 music in this game was fantastic. I used to turn the Genesis on in the background and let that run while I was writing or playing MMOs. Thanks for uploading these.
