does it make big difference for a corolla to have a cold air intake? i'm thinking about putting one in my 2009 corolla s, but i'm not sure if that's a good investment..

I have an intake like that & my Corolla is slightly faster than before. I did a few runs & with the stock intake it goes 0-30 mph in 3.7 sec. but with my cold air intake it takes around 3.2 sec. The one I have also is suppose to increase horsepower by 8, so that means my car has around 134 H.P. now. I'm going to get a new exhaust system soon & that should increase power a little more & have an even louder & a more aggressive sporty sound. I'll just have to see.

Change your air filter to a POD filter and change the exhaust. change it to a lukey Glass pack exhaust "its up to you if you want the hole exhaust system or just the muffler" and change the headers to lukey headers. and then your set bro. you got your aself a nice car

Does your check engine light come on after you installed the intake? cause i need to know.

what size intake did you install? All corollas from 2005 and prior had a 3 inch intake. from 06 and after it went to a 2.5 inch. your maf sens thinks that its getting too much air because the pipe is too big. I got a 2006 rolla S and had the same prob. I actually temporarily built an intake by spectre til i can turbo it. I had to fabricate a 2.5 inch adaptor to fit around the maf to make it think that the pipe was 2.5. I know it worked. The engine light went off and im not reading PO171 any more

I have an '08 Corolla S and cannot find an intake anywhere. Because of the electronic throttle body and fog lamps, this makes for an exact fit difficult to obtain I suppose. Any suggestions...

i just did a short ram conversion.. i dunno the reason why my check engine light keeps poppin out! can somebody help me bout the answer why? i did a research and i think its something to do with the ecm. not the ecu but this new ecm. my rolla's an 08.

No you dont have to cut anything off. you just have to remove the fuse box to put the cold air intake in. and then when you put the CAI in you just simply put the fuse box back
