Is there some other video that shows you what you need to do (assuming you have Bootmii) to boot directly into HBC? I would really appreciate this knowledge, so I wouldn't need a Wiimote to start a game such as Brawl. I hate running out of power on the Wiimote and not being able to play anything when I can easily use a GC controller :(.

You can use the GC controller with BootMii. If you want it to happen automatically, read the README file. It's all explained there.

I can't seem to get back to the Bootmii menu. When I first installed it, and re turned on my Wii, I got the Bootmii menu. Then I returned to the Wii System Menu. I turned off then on my Wii with the SD card, and it goes straight to the System menu. How do I get back to the Bootmii screen?

its called "BaNNerBoMB". If you look up banner bomb what "riley2458" said you will not get the right search!! And people are saying BaNNerBoMB is a fake. Im starting to see that. You see, The guys tested it on a 3.2 firmware version and they diddnt even show what they did. Never mind version 4.0. And they HAD the homebrew channel already installed! 4.0 needs a way to install the home brew channel without using it! And the maker of BaNNerBoMB said it would be out in a couple days on april 1st.

There is an exploit coming out for 4.0. Apparently its going to be released tommorow or the next day. Its called Bannerbomb. ( its true, look on wiibrew system menu 4.0 page ). Search it up on youtube.

I also dont see how so many people got screwed over with this. If you had some type of cios installed before, then you should have been fine with this update.

just install cios36 and then downgrade, custom update, then run IOS60/61 patcher.

Yes You need the homebrew channel. If you look at the top right when he goes to the normal boot he has the homebrew channel. Now we just have to wait for another version of the twilight hack to work on 4.0U. If you have 3.5 they are problably not working on you. but if they find a twilight hack for the 4.0 just update your wii to that 3.5's. Then you can just downgrade with an "app". Maybe they will change this so you dont need the homebrew channel. We all just have to play the waiting game.

awesome! I updated to for 4.0U by mistake. Since Nintendo put a bunch of IOS so you cant copy the twilight hack to your sd card. but this might help! because it comes on before your firmware can get on. but you might need the homebrew to do this. in that case this will not help us 4.0's. we would just have to wait for another twilight hack. dont bug team twiizers about making another twilight hack. they said it will be out when its ready!

it's the system menu that makes a TP-hack copy fail, not the IOSes. I have the 4.0 IOSes installed on my 3.2 wii and it's fine. (The trucha bug has been patched back in though)

This could solve a problem my friend recently had. He had homebrew and everything in tip top shape, but he went ahead and updated to 4.0 just to see what would happen. It screwed up his hacks and prevented games from playing right, so he then used some wii system formatting (within homebrew) to basicly factory restore the wii. He then noticed Twilight Princess would not load for him to reinstall Homebrew. He eventually just updated it to 4.0U and is waiting for a miracle.

No, I don't think Nintendo would be able to see any of this. All they try to do is stop the pirating of their games, and that gets in homebrew's way because of all of the system blocks. But we're smarter. Hackers always find a way around.

The only thing they can ban you from is online play if you use cheats while playing online. If they completely locked a person's Wii for having the HDC on it, they'd just be asking for a law suit. And, since all of the apps are already on the card, you should be able to run everything off of it, since you're already in the HBC.

I recently got a Nintendo Wii for my Birthday and beat the hell out of SSBB. I heard about Homebrew for the Wii, But I already updated my Wii to 3.4U the First day I got it. I just want to say, When this Software comes out, Im borrowing my Friends LoZ:TP game to install it. Best thing ever!! BootMii itself is installed on the console. The point here is that you install ONE thing that runs as early as possible and redirects to an SD card if present, or falls back to a normal boot. You can't boot from SD without installing something on the console first, but what we're doing is keeping the installable part to a minimal loader. You install one thing, and you're done forever.

I think the modified Boot2 sends some information through the gamecube memorycard slot (you can see there's something plugged in) and a controller in the display grabs this info and prints the text

Get a capture card. It has the TV cable slots like you see on the back of a TV, so you can plug your Wii in there and play! Great for recording video!

If you just want to use a monitor to view your Wii video, then you need a hardware signal converter or your monitor needs to have physical inputs for the Wii's video output cable.
