  • which sea world is this one

  • no fair i want to work with them too

  • I cant believe I just watched a 35 minute video... :p

  • Obviously, these orcas love the trainers. What people dont understand is that if they release them in the wild, they will die because they dont know how to hunt. They look so happy to me:) i have been fasinated with orcas since i was little. My dream is to become a trainer one day:)

  • I remember my first water work session

  • Why is tilly by himself?

  • @littlesercet

Tillikum is known to be one of the more dangerous whales due to his size. The area he is in in this video is the Dine with Shamu pool, the same place where Dawn lost her life during a stunt with Tilly. This video is outdated because several changes were made after the accident. The relationship between trainer and killer whale is much less hands on now; they aren't even allowed in the same pool as the whales anymore. Such a shame.

    RIP Dawn!

  • @WDWSmilez I know Tilly has been involved in 3 incidents but that doesnt mean he should be kept by himself. If they arent going to put him with other whales so he can atleast be around them and have company, nearly all of the time he is by himself. Whales are very social like elephants. If seaworld arent prepared to do that it would be kinder for him to be moved to a sea pen somewere.

  • @littlesercet He's with his grandson Trua all the time. Makaio will probably hang out with him a lot too when he gets older, but the girls love to beat up on him, so apart from Trua, there aren't many other whales that he actually enjoys spending time with.

  • @littlesercet

I just did some research. Tilikum was involved in two incidents prior to the Death of trainer Dawn Brancheau, both of which resulted in the deaths of humans.

  • kalina!

  • DAWN IS HERE R.I.P

    :(

  • this gets me every single time i see it love love love it x

  • omg is Dawn! :'(

    may she r.i.p

  • I'm strongly opposed to captivity, but you really can see that the trainers love the whales. They clearly want to make their time in captivity as good as possible.

  • although i dont agree with keeping orcas in captivity you see the trainers do love them, such a shame dawn gets killed by tilikum, rip

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love the show

  • Didnt one of these girls get killed by the whales?? I think her name is Dawn.. She is in the video I believe.

  • @CrzyJerry333 yeah its dawn and yeah she gets drowned

  • These trainers give these whales a wonderful loving home! All the orcas love them and they let them stay with their family! In order to help all animal species, at least a few have to be studyed to know how we can help them! Plus, it's better than someone getting killed at sea because they want to see an orca! There are plenty of orcas in the wild. And they all love it at Seaworld! So stop saying lies without the research! Also, they do need to advertise to give money to help THE ANIMALS. Not t

  • genial! regardez le saut de mon fils avec un dauphin sur sajua1

    merci

look at my video,my son and a dolphin jumping!!!

  • I hope that they continue to act the same way off camera because this video was truly inspiring and beautiful. Such an amazing creature and bond

  • 18 wwooooooowwwwww my dream

  • This is just amazing! i went to Florida when i was 8. and i have loved Orca's ever since! they are beautiful creatures and i would love to swim with one! Especially Tilikum as he is so beautiful. You have the best jobs in the world. And even though they belong in the wild you havnt taken them from the wild. they have grown up in captivity. And its a lot safer for them :-) my one wish for life is to be able to swim and interact with one. That would make my dream come true :-)

  • Awwww Dawn! i love her "all white and yummy!" her laugh is great too! :)

  • @Katinaorcalover123 rip dawn

  • the orca is crying

  • First of all animals like these should not be kept in captivity or trained like they're pet dogs. They're a WILD animal whether they were bred in captivity or not as they're not domesticated if u start messing with nature then something is bound to happen sooner or later, people who have been killed playing with these animals, one message stands clear don't play with fire unless u wanna get burned.

  • Please pass the sick bucket! OMG I just so love your show! Talking to the whale: You're so sweeeet, I wanna hug and wuv you! Whale thinking: I wanna fuckin kill you for disrespecting me as an apex predator! Shamu 1 Trainers 0 I like how they kept their distance from him just in case he decides he's had enough of their anthropomorphisms and decides he wants to snack on a trainer.

  • @tammytosca Please learn a little bit on how to care for animals and train them before making ridiculous comments.

  • helpers has an extra 'e' in it, your word doesn't spell helpers

    husbandry isn't a behaviour

    "squeeze, squeeze" odd man

orca 'thrive' in captivity? eh, no...

no whale should be kept in captivity - and 9 in such a small space, it's atrocious

  • Beautiful :,,)

  • hey i am just trying to learn form you trainer's there at sea world i am not a expert at this

  • im sure you get this alot but my dream since i was 4 has been to one day swim with these beautiful giant

  • @1dasen no i never herd form any of that form any of the trainers

  • i mean to that the show changed my life for ever after

  • i was going to say i stall Believe i Ben to the show there in Orlando i changed my life for ever after that now i am glad that i have seen the show and what is going on behind the Scenes thank you for a great show

  • helpErs ...

  • I wold freak out in have a dead fish looking at me wen doing that stuff to them

  • i can't see that...... IS RIDICULOUS

  • I'm going to have my frost water work session

  • Why do the whales come over to the trainers when its obvious the trainers don't have any food? its because of the BOND between the orcas and the trainers, the orcas love the affection and the rub downs that they get from their trainers, they have a strong bond that goes both ways.

  • @992kirky the water is freezing

  • I wonder how cold the water is?

  • @992kirky It's in the 50's. It's pretty chilly

  • Lol I can't believe I watched all 35 minutes

  • this is so wrong... all animals should be free

  • @superspazzalistic i think its beautiful that the orcas have this relationship with the trainers, plus would you rather them be out in the wild, getting hunted to extinction with the rest of them? they look after them, feed them, play with them.i dont see whats so bad about that.

  • This WILL be me one day..

  • @darkanglealltheway she was moaning she was just saying I love u to back at Lizzy

  • I think the trainers genuinely do care about the whales. Sea World gets sort of a bad wrap.

  • @pinkraindrops13 Yes!!!!! Thank you!!! They love the whales sooooo much!!!! Like me. But I don't work with them but I wish I did!! I wish people would understand that people love the whales and if the whales were taken back to the wild the whales would die, the trainers would be heart broken and would have no job. They give their heart and soul (And sleep if you know what I mean.) to take care of the wonderful whales our Lord God made.

  • my whole life ive been reading all there is to know about the ocean and marine life. this is such a rewarding career an ive been going to seaworld career camps and i practically live in the ocean. i cant wait to hopefully land a job working there i really want to work with these animals so badly it hurts xd

  • R.I.P Dawn

  • I whish i was a fish

  • What an awesome job

  • That's amazing. I'm glad I could take the time to watch this ( : Speechless : D

  • OK I know its not as good as them being in the ocean and its bad and its for money and all that. But I am pretty sure at 20:31 that whale was SMILING and it was just playing, not for treats, not for anything but the fact she was having fun. Animals DO form bonds with humans and they DO want to please and play with them.

  • @beachfeet1000

I think seeing orca's and other predators up close in a place like this helps people realise that they're not just mindless killing machines. I agree with you that they can be well cared for and be happy even though they are in captivity and they might help their wild relatives while they're at it.

  • Holy crap these trainers must really be in shape. I could maybe do that swim and wall climb once and I would die.

  • Oh and 24:06 I love how all the whales are watching them work out =) Cute

  • Though I don't agree with keeping wild animals in tanks or cages, I really enjoyed this video. I've always wanted to see behind the scenes Sea World stuff

  • i love the whales watching the trainers while they work out

  • I LOVE dolphins

  • @Dolphins1312 Me too :) I'm obsessed

  • new job idear me thinks!

  • Well were not really scared of Tilikum but he's wild trust me I have to swim with him

  • @Calliewoody1 What are the major things looked for in a trainer at Seaworld?

  • I want to be one of the in about 5 years

  • why do they keep shutting their mouths the whole time?

  • @holyblizzz i think its because they are expecting food, and if they are not going to be getting food then the trainer motions for them to shut their mouth so they understand they arent getting it at that moment, thats my opinion not sure if thats the real reason though(:

  • what was that noise she was making to her trainer (baby shamu)

  • FREEDOM FOR THE WHALE.........!!!!

  • @Dolphins1312 I know I -3 Dolphins I wanna work with them in Hawaii :) I think we have that in common :P

  • Is Tilikum there?

  • Comment removed

  • @Dolphins1312 tilikum was the one on the scale

  • @Dolphins1312 Yes, Tilikum is still there, they had him hop up on the scale and weigh him when the doctor was there. Not sure at exactly what time, but yes. Tilikum was there. (:

  • @Dolphins1312 he's at 15:55

  • I wanna work with the whales or dolphins when I am 24

  • THIS IS MY DREAM JOB. I WATCHED THIS MORE THAN 7 TIMES. I HOPE ONE DAY I CAN DO THIS WONDER JOB. I WENT WHEN I WAS 6 AND I LOVED IT BUT I DIDNT THINK OF IT AS A JOB I WANTED TO DO BUT NOW I AM 12 AND I WATCHED MORE THAT 600 VIDEOS I LOVE IT SO MUCH. IT LOOKS LIKE A FUN JOB. I CANT STOP TELL PEOPLE HOW MUCH I WANT THIS JOB. GOOD JOB TRAINERS

  • @themasterforever1

Same with me! Watched this video seven times and about to for the eigth :) Expect I'm now fourteen and I'm just absolutely in love with these animals! They are so BEAUTIFUL. The job has it up's and down's but it would (AND WILL) be worth it!

  • @Twilighter6317 i hope i can do it. im look up stuff on it

  • @julisch4444 Dolphins are toothed whales. All dolphins are whales but not all whales are dolphins. But nice try!

  • @brittperry21 I do love working with the killer whales do u have any questions ud like to ask me

  • I know she was my whale that I worked with

  • I really wanted to work with Kalina. I wish she was still alive

  • @julisch4444 I'm assuming you say this based on the fact that they often refer to them as "whales"? Hate to burst your angry bubble but they definitely do realize that they are dealing with a member of the dolphin family. Trainers are selected on a number of qualities including their knowledge of the species they aim to work with. "Whales" is just short for "killer whales", which I assume they simply prefer to "orca". It would cause confusion to other staff if they referred to them as dolphins.

  • Lucky and I love working at seaworld it was so much fun when we could swim in the water

  • my dream is to work @ marineland fl, which i go to often so this fri, is my 14th bday and im going to be Trainer for a Day!!!

  • @shortylauralyn78 No, the pods that eat fish are the "resident" pods. The transients are the ones that sea lions, grey whale calves, birds, etc. Then in some parts of the world like NZ you have killer whales that specialize in hunting sting rays.

  • I have wanted this job since the forst time i saw them (2) but since i actually couldnt understand or would think of a job at 2 so basically since i was 4. I literally dream orcas, mostly wild and in crazy situation also in seaworld. Im a complete orcaholic!

  • i saw my first orca when i was 7 or 8 years old and from that moment on i knew i wanted to be a trainer, im 14 now living in england and its still my dream to work with these amazing animals XD

  • i can tell that laura loves the orcas

  • Dawn died....:(

  • Love this video! And great to see some good footage of Dawn before she died.

  • I cried:'( How do you become a killer whale trainer? I want to be one when im older

  • theyre so lucky getting tht job, i would be so proud if I got it. My dream job :)

  • This is so cool....I wanna do that... Dream job :)

  • i love this video :)

  • at 8:40 how did that orca know what the guy was going to give him. so they can communicate yes or no wow that is amazing!

  • @maxgunn555 Because this is something they do in the show to make the audience laugh. The trainer hands the whale one fish, it shakes it's head no. The trainer shows it the bucket and it shakes it's head yes. The shows are REALLY cheesy.

  • @dolphinserenity oh so they'renot really naturally communicating yes or no they've been taught...

  • @maxgunn555 nope, it's a trained behavior. The trainer has 2 very subtle signals that tell the whale to shake it's head "yes" or "no." search on youtube "Dine with Shamu part 3 6/15/09

  • so tilikom is the one who killed the trainer...damn!!

  • @TheRichbrandi Yeah, and look how close they are interacting with him.

  • Comment removed

  • 12:58 ? isent that dawn =/

  • @lisy1231 Yes! The new show is called "One Ocean".

  • @Marciodisney that makes no sense lol

  • @tjfan48 I know!!! My Mistake!!!! lol

  • @Marciodisney but is that dawn?

  • i will beacome a seaworld traner

  • i will beacome a seaworld trainer

  • @TheBaseballplaya5 me too

  • @lisy1231 yes its dawn because around 15:40 the doctor says her name

  • was this recenty ?

  • Awww the whole video was beautiful!<3

  • These trainers are actors, not scientists.

  • whats water works? 9:18

  • @Yoko3034 shes on about when the trainers get in the water with them

  • i also love nilani i saw her when she was a tiny wittel baby whale :) sooo sweet my sis is the one with nilani GO GO GIRL!!!!!

  • @twiz12308 your sister is the trainer?!?! thats amazing!

  • OMG i love killer whales my siister is in this video shes 23 and i get to go up and visit her and swim with and touch the whales ive swam with shamu and layla and its very scary at first but theyre so gentle they dont care what u do to them..... the baibies r sooo cute when i saw them they were 3 weeks old!!! LUV U SHAMU!!!!!

  • @twiz12308 Really!? Which one is she!? Did she say the swim test was hard?

  • @twiz12308

    You sister is Holly?

  • @twiz12308 If you're going to lie about something at least make it believeable and correct. Shamu is a stage name there is no orca alive called shamu idiot she died in 1975. Also you have to work with them anywhere between 2-5 years every day before you get in the water with them. Also even with a relative working with the orcas you arn't actually allowed to swim with them, or pet them.

  • @CetaceanLiberation Yes, and that shouldn't have been done. But it was 30 years ago! What happened can't be changed, and now SeaWorld are saving the lives of hundreds of animals every year. Don't complain at them for things that happened before the majority of their staff were born, not while the Taiji hunts are going on and Miami SeaQuarium is still open. Focus your efforts on them, and I will support you whole-heartedly.

  • @CetaceanLiberation And no they didn't destroy the "whole entire" SR population. Most of the captures were done by other parks around the world, and although there are only around 87 left, their threats have been listed by the NMFS as pollution, less prey and effects from vessels. Maybe you should concentrate on overfishing laws and pollution problems instead.

  • @CetaceanLiberation They have their own rescue centre inside the park! They saved the lives of countless whales, dolphins and turtles, most of which were healthy enough to be re-released. The capturing of whales ended over 30 years ago, and I, too, would rather it had never happened. The whales should be in the wild, but they're not. They can't be released, so I support SeaWorld for giving them the best standards of care in the world (literally!).

  • @CetaceanLiberation SeaWorld has done more good for whales and dolphins than you ever will posting ridiculous comments on youtube.

  • Taima and Katina both mentioned in this video: Both had their life stolen by this industry. R.I.P. <3

  • @CetaceanLiberation Sorry for the typo. While Katina is the one mentioned in the video, Kalina is her daughter who had her life stolen by captivity.

  • @CetaceanLiberation ...Katina is still alive..it was her calf Kalina that died...

  • @Marciodisney I want to become a seaworld animal trainer when i grow up but do you know where most trainers studied marine biology, where is good marine biology colleges??

  • im going to be one of the trainers when im older

  • @OrcaWhaleLover98 I agree with you (kittymilamia) .. What is so horrible? If the animals didn't like it, they wouldn't want to do anything of what they are showing us here ..

  • I want to do this when I get older ♥ They are so beautiful and you see what bond they make with them, absolutely beautiful ♥ Too bad that I live in Norway .. "/

  • aww this is my dream(:

All things are possible when you belive :-D I hope you don't forget this channel and come back in a few years to post a comment telling me that your dreams came true :-D I'm already your Fan :-D

  • @oceangirl32909 Same here!!!! Killer whales are all I ever say, write, draw, dream, and think of! :) I'm working on trying to pinpoint which whale is who. I even made a binder!!! I know to some people (Okay a lot of people.) this might sound crazy, but I'm glad that the trainers are not aloud to swim with the whales, because if I get this job I would be to chicken to swim with them. :)

  • I love this!

  • Nice graphics!

  • AMAZING! Thanks for this :)
