I would gladly fight one of these dogs, fist to fang, in a dog vs. man, FIGHT TO THE DEATH!!!! It is very easy to kill one of these German Shepard dogs in a fight, but you must be willing to sacrifice one of your arms. These dogs, especially police trained, are "sleeve happy". You present one arm forward, and they will bite onto the arm, and rarely let go. Yes it will hurt, but in the mean time, you drive your other fist down upon it's head, over and over, and smash it's fucking skull open!

Very nice tribute. I was a sentry dog handler in Vietnam/Thailand. I continue to support our K-9'ers (male and female now) through "Feed the Dawgs.com" organization where we cover the Southwest US providing steak BBQs and letting the troops know that someone is thinking about them. We cover all military services (bases) at the rate of about one a month Very interesting site! Thanks for your seervice.

when the punk who threatened to blow my friend's head off when he robbed the store we worked at left he looked mighty fearsome. After Roy brought him down he looked like a scared brat who had got his butt spanked.
It was Roy's last chase and ended with no one dead and one loser going to prison. Not bad for an old dog.

Great tribute to all the K-9s. One comment though, I find it sad and deplorable that there are retired K-9s that find themselves without a home. You would think that after all they give to serve us, they would always have a place to call home.

Beautiful tribute! Reminds me our own German Shep "Butch" -the most intelligent of our brood of dogs, I think. And there's a "Mako" in this video -and what a coincidence that Butch had a grandson called Mako! (We've lost Butch to old age at 13yo) Our family always have 1 or more dogs in the house, to us they're family. We really appreciate this video, reminds us of the NatGeo episode about dogs in the war. We cried on that one too, too much I think my brothers were all choked up on that one.

Wow you know whats totally stupid? American Pit Bull Terriers are banned on U.S. military bases! I love my 7 German Shepherds. They are the smartest of God's creatures. I have made it a "must" to start a GSD rescue this year. I have already rescued at least 20 and I am appalled that a person can raise one of these intelligent, loving, and loyal companions and not even try to find them if they get out of their home and end up in the kill shelter. For the price of a couple of steak house dinners you can save and adopt one of these magnificent souls from the animal shelters.

(We've lost Butch to old age at 13yo) Our family always have 1 or more dogs in the house, to us they're family. We really appreciate this video, reminds us of the NatGeo episode about dogs in the war. We cried on that one too, too much I think my brothers were all choked up on that one.

Wow you know whats totally stupid? American Pit Bull Terriers are banned on U.S. military bases! It's funny ignorance has turned Americas favorite dog and one very versatile breed which I think is second only to the German Sheperd into a some sort of monster. Hopefully with smart people, some day we may rid of all these ignorant laws.

Please rescue one of these GSD working dogs, I am so happy that I did, my Reno and I have an amazing relationship, he knows what I am thinking and responds to every word I say, he knows what I am saying all the time, and would never let me come to any harm.

What a moving tribute.
It epitomizes what I have read & learned so far of service dogs whom I am simply in awe of. We donated/sent canine supplies for 9/11 and working dogs in Iraq in support & admiration to their endless efforts & loyalty.

As a former Dog handler for the USAF thank you for such a great video. I Feel that the dogs the forgotten heros. I owe my life to "Duke" my freind and protector for a year in Vietnam. I beleive they saved a lot of lifes then and now. Thanks again for honoring our best freinds.

I love my 7 German Shepherds. They are the smartest of God's creatures. I have made it a "must" to start a GSD rescue this year. I have already rescued at least 20 and I am appalled that a person can raise one of these intelligent, loving, and loyal companions and not even try to find them if they get out of their home and end up in the kill shelter. For the price of a couple of steak house dinners you can save and adopt one of these magnificent souls from the animal shelters.

i am a malaysian. not an american. however, i muz say, that i agree wholeheartedly with the message this video is conveying. maybe you guys should do a suggestion to DoD (USA), to have K9 officers attached to military wing, to stand sentinel alongside Old'Guards in the Tomb of the Unknown. that will be the greatest of the honor, for men, women and k9s serving the USA. just a suggestion, forgive me if i intrude.
