  • Chomsky has pointed out many times that this country was never intended to be a democracy like were have been told. We are and always have been a plutocracy. We need to neuter the ruling class in this country. This is the only way to get true justice. Corporate structure is obsolete. A handful of privileged brats dictating to the masses is obsolete. The needs of the many will always outweigh the needs of the few. Sorry Wall Street but that's the way it is. Your time has come and gone.

  • Fuck Han Solo, Noam is MY hero.

  • Let's move the BANKERS, to a desert island. Let them eat rotten fish heads, and salt water soup. When that runs short, we then suggest that they eat each other.

  • thezeitgeistmovement

  • Class warfare is just an empty misdirection to demagogue the poor and promote coercion.

  • Capitalism, the wage slavery of immense humanity in a politically manipulated MARKET SYSTEM OF ARTIFICIAL SCARCITY to perpetuate wage-slavery/exploitation in the interest of the ruling class. A system of commodity production for profit in a modality of perpetual war, enviornmental destructions, animal cruelty and suffering, a social reality of fear, insecurity, devaluation, dehumanisation, We must recliam our lives for a community of humanity in cooperation for our common needs and wellbeing.

  • @arzoyan TZM

  • A union is MEANT FOR the MAJORITY of the people who WORK for a COMPANY (at least 1 in every company which has more than 50 people) and accesible FOR EVERYONE who wants that.

Here in europe it is OPTIONAL but almost EVERYONE has it.

In the US companies threathen unions and people within them because they want to have all the freedom they can (WILL) get to lay off whomever they want in whatever situation they want.

  • @skankingrhythmics ahhh. so by def. the must discriminate...also when Europe can find the time to get unemployment below 9-10% then talk about the Great Unions

  • @jonshultz I don't dissagree that there is a problem but we can't let the people suffer for a crisis which is not even caused by them.

We need to keep jobs, improve public schooling & improve public health care.

It's those things we need, not to feel good, but rather for our basic needs. (Pyramid of Maslow)

In Europe we currently remove the useful social benefits for workingclass people.

For example school funding is lowered (in my country) for 6,8 to something in 3,*.

    ->

  • @skankingrhythmics there are many reasons for this lack of funding

  • @skankingrhythmics haha you are pointing out a gov failure in order to make the point that we need more gov funding? how about government waste for a reason the edu. costs cant be covered and are constantly slashed ya know its also the peoples fault for this bc we tend to want to fix bad government with more gov! this is absurd but pple just want to push it off and burden the state creating the problems we see as a nation and many new ones as the state grows

  • The sound cut all of a sudden on 2 parts.

Why is it cut and what did he say.

  • @skankingrhythmics only in America and countries that are free or as close to it as you can get have people been able to rise out of this oppression and become wealthy and rise from the bottom not the other way around, now why is this? unions have only been about 12-15% of the popu. not much of a cure all...industry throughout history has been in bed with politics and that allowed for exploitation now the opposite is true

  • @jonshultz In the USA you have no unions so tell me: How do you stand up for yourself without a union? (a union also gives worker-related information like your rights etc)

Do you really think that companies are nice enough to care about the people that work for them?

Listen, I put it this simple without spending too much words on this one.

  • @jonshultz Funny fairytale about how people can climb up.

Not everyone has the equal oppurtunities as anyone else.

    Public school is a joke.

Public everything is a joke in the USA.

BUT of all the industrialised countries, those "laissez-faire" capitalist concequences are only visible in the USA.

And i just know you have your own business or study management or something leechlike.

  • @skankingrhythmics why cant people climb up?Elaborate

  • Unions as is do not "democrotize" they do the opposite

  • Prove this.

And don't prove it with numbers from the USA.

They don't even know what unions are.

Come to Europe and say that.

We will laugh you straight out of here.

1 Worker is worth nothing for an employer.

But all the workers together in the form of a union is very strong.

It actually gives power to the proletariat, which already have almost no power.

SOOOOO, Yeah, you are totally right about it not being democratic...

    sure...

  • @skankingrhythmics What i mean is that the Unions are a strong arm communist tool that still gives power to a few people and removes the decision making power in some industries in the U.S. and many more elsewhere (they are politicized to the point of corruption) they are talking about passing laws that would dictate unions to other companies, this would affect even the small business man and would take the free market (or whats left of it) ideals out of a system that was intended to be free...

  • @skankingrhythmics also i would like to point out that if you know history a nation such as Russia that was purely communist and china as well have an extremely oppressive past..this would be a Marxists paradise on paper but ended up being another way to controll the people(any time an organization or body has massive leverage it will use it and disguard anyone deemed useless) Unions would throw you under the bus as fast or faster than a gov. or corp. once you are useless only in America .......

  • @jonshultz Unions do for the sake of workers, not for the sake of the economy.

For unions to opposite means to have some power against indecent behaviour from the ruling group of the company. (here we had a massive union strike because a brewery wanted to lay off a lot of people while the brewery was making huge profits.)

Ofcoure it was won because it was justifiable.

If not the union would lose credibility etc.

  • @skankingrhythmics I understand the concept of what Unions are but to say "Unions do for the sake of workers, not for the sake of the economy." is retarded...when the econ. is in the doldrums everyone in the labor force is hurt, Union or not so hurting the economy for the sake of barganing is not an equal trade, not to mention how Unions discriminate against the lower class and prop up the white middle class...

  • I totally disagree with everything he says about the solution to the problem. But the problems in general i agree...

  • Yep, the rich are waging class war, while simultaneously telling us all through their mouth pieces that we shouldn't do the same (Rush Limbaugh).

  • rush said that?

  • @jonshultz he's been making that argument over and over through the years, yeah.

  • Again, something that only somebody who was beaten with the lower end of a stick can posses witt. Everything else after that is but a funny metaphor.... :)

  • Thatcher .. Reagan .. disempowerment and destruction of the guardians of the working class !!! ..

  • Couldnt agree more. Although class is somethng that only those on the lower end of the stick are those who truly possess it.
