  • They used to make them do barrel rolls? LOL were they preparing to be fired upon on the ice?

  • 03:44 #10 Evgeny Mishakov - for me the best player in hockey!!!

  • tarasov great coach

  • Great clip , but unfortunately the video quality is reminiscent of the Soviet Dark Ages!

  • thats fine if russians go home to play, you should be proud of your hockey.

But are glad you are here now.

  • he is coming over my house

    nooo joke

my family is russsian and my grandfather is friends with him.He became friends with him cause my grandpa was a phisyan and maked sure the heart rate has okay and everything like that.Tretiak is now my friend too! awsome? i know!

  • wow. you must really not know good hockey. wait, screw that, GREAT hockey. whelp.

  • sug kuk finnjävel hehe

  • tretjak best

  • Greetings to everyone! My name is Tim and I have just published volume #1 of my tribute to the great Soviet Hockey Dynasty. It is entitled: MAGICIANS ON ICE. I hope that you find the time to purchase it. And, I sincerely hope that you enjoy reading it!

  • Sam Pollack of the Habs( greatest G.M.) had the rights to sign V. Tretiak. If he had defected, we would not be here. He is what modern goaltenders wish to be.

  • Yeah, but he had Ken Dryden. He didn't need Tretiak.

  • Tretiak was drafted in 1983, Dryden was retired by then. So, the Habs did indeed need him!

  • They had Roy comming up.

  • Yup and Tretiak was BETTER!

  • Well duh.

  • if he did play for canadiens they would have won like 3 or 4 more cups

  • Dryden played his worst games vs The Soviet Uinion and Dryden learned from Tretiak as much as the Russians learned from Canada about hockey.Don't ask me, Dryden will tell you.

  • It would not be that the Russians were that much better, would it??

Or, was it, he just happened to be off those games. Cheeze had an off game also in NY, on the wrong end of 6/0 score, playing with the NHL's BEST! It was the final in a best of 3, Tagged "The Series of The Century". NOt much is know about this series, it's never mentioned. By the way the Goalie for the Russians was not Tretiak. It was A 5'5" myshkin. Also there were no "Bone Crushers" on the Russian team, as usual. We Did!

  • wait, wasnt it the soviets who stopped tretiak from defecting?

  • he was awesome but i like Bernie Parent and his skate saves better then Tretiak's half-butterfly saves

  • Simply amazing. Tretiak Rules!!!

Too bad he never played a game in the NHL.

  • Why bad, it's good. When we establish KNL, all our players will return back to Russia, as well as Eastern European guys. NHL was something temporary, due to economic crisis of Russia. Now we are back.

  • Yeah!

  • The single greatest goal tender in the history of hockey.

  • @SWALE1984 nice goalie, best of all time,i dont think so you better do your homework

  • @cuff1957 Tretiak was, by far, the greatest net minder of all time. Most of the finest goal tenders in the last 20 years of the NHL were trained, and/or helped by him. You are a fool to think otherwise!

  • @SWALE1984 ok we will agree to disagree

  • @SWALE1984 Patrick Roy and Brodeur are at the top. Roy is an amazing goalie but he also brought the butter fly technique to the game. Brodeur because hes all skill no technique (well his own style) And tretiak brought the best off ice and on ice trainning.

  • @gologabob Roy always had the best teams infront of him, I cant choose but I say Sawchuk, Tretyak, and Hasek were the best

  • @bryz2034 1993 was not the best of teams. But I have to admit tretiak and hasek are prefered by myself also
