I don´t think that "il mostro" is the old "Black Pearl". I believe that "il mostro" was designed entirrely new.. I´m not sure, though.

this is true. il mostro was designed completley from teh ground up for the '09 volvo ocean race. teh old puma, is for sale currently. if you flick through Seahorse magazine (an international sailing mag, not a mag on creatures of the sea!) and flick to the back you can see puma is for sail. and i think its up for 300,000 euros now or something similar

the old puma boat is sold !!! someone got it real good deal... but the fila is for sale again.. 100 k... it is at ft myers or not sure... the fila is beatiful boat.. it is designed for solo.. 50 feet.. it was sailed by geogoi seradi from italy.. my speeling sucks...

I've sailed on a 12 Metre (Kookaburra 1) and it's HARD WORK!! I think it is a silly rule. They were never really a high performance boat but they were deemed suitable for match racing.
VO70s are just rocket ships in disguise.
