idk, i dont like these games... i want one those proper original games that are just quiet and fun.. not all this advertised crap from rich big ass fishing companies..

Theres only been one fishing game i really enjoyed... Reel Fishing 3.. (and the others in the series). It was quet, peaceful, and reminded me what fishing really was. There was no amazing graphic, it was just simple walk down to the lake, catch fish, row a boat..

@r4microds take a look at VR Sportfishing, its a game just like you want it! exact the same! you even buy your own lures in diferent colors, save up money for new boat, and fishfinder. its really great. take a look u wont regret it

Good graphics, terrible gameplay... This is a product catalogue disguised as a fishing game. =P Sega Black bass for the Wii is better. I like how realistic the lures are, but the fish dont behave correctly.. in sega black bass, they try to spit the lure, they shake their heads, and behave alot more like real bass! This game DOES have great graphics, if only it were like the better fishing games!

One annoying thing I found in the Xbox version is...everytime you cast it goes into the under water view and if you prefer top view you got to keep switching the button after every cast...Who in the heck wants to watch the fish take the hook! Might as well be fishing inside a home glass box fish aquarium!...and what about the unit of measurement..Grams &centimeters? I rather have pounds and inches for length so I know how big the fish is!..

@Mrboneish89 thats why i get a mac it lasts me 6 years or more with out any trouble, dell, doesnt last me shit! plus its better quality i mean PC eh it gives you more downloads but mac (apple) on the other hand is WAY ahead of PC in tech purposes... you dont even need to go on the internet to get most of your apps the mac comes with em and graphics, omfg they are so much better crisp clean graphics PC... not so much .... speed... your dont want to know PC users....

@bakurafann You are wrong, the MAC is not way ahead of tech, it is just that is more expensive. Of course, if you buy a Ferrari it will do better than a Ford, duh. But how many people can afford a Ferrari? A well rounded PC will do just as good or better than a MAC. The problem is that most people buy the cheap PC with cheaper hardware of course. I like PC better i can do more stuff with it, Mac not so much. Apple is just to overpriced for no particular reason. Good computers though.

@Mrboneish89 I highly doubt 50% of people who use PCs are single core anymore, But you can't even purchase a computer from a name brand manufacturer with one anymore.. No one said you have to purchase every single new piece of technology that comes out.. You would be more than okay with a 60$ Dual core and a cheap graphics card.. Atleast you wouldn't be bickering on youtube videos about how you cant play it with your 6 year old PC.

@RushHourful : LOL - I had the same problem (just watch this video - it was my first time playing). I found that the plastic worm with the spinner piece works the best on the 1st lake. Just let it roll up and down over the bottom and you'll attrach big stripers!

By 'demo', I meant a demo video I made - not a playable demo. There is (to my knowledge) no playable demo - only the full retail version. My advice: buy it - it's a ton of fun!

@dzlvs8 - Simply connect the rod to a USB port.  Windows has an Xbox controller driver already installed. As for changing the res, it seems to be permanently-set. Maybe with a little hacking it can be done, but the game looks damn good even at the default.

Good question! Bass Pro Shops: The Strike for either PC or Xbox 360 (avoid the Wii version) has great graphics and solid gameplay. Too many other games have great graphics but weak gameplay and lack of features. The very best overall game is Trophy Bass 4 which was released around 10 years ago and has weak graphics by today's standards - but it is excellent in all other regards. VR SportFishing is currently the best simulation but is weak as far as a game goes - it's still being developed.

Yeah this was actually my very first time playing the game. It's not perfect as a simulation (I keep VR SportFishing for that) but it's a lot of fun. This game is close to perfect as a whole.

Sure the game plays just as well and and is fun without the controller. But if you want to actually feel the fish fights, get the controller. It's very cool! (it's not just some rumble accessory - the controller actually pulls back when the fish does)
